Off Topic Thread Vs: I like chocolate, I like fudge, I'll make some now or I won't...

so last week at work 3 of us got called up for a meeting with one of our bosses (you could call them that). Thought we were going to be assigned a task to do. We all got bloody retrenched! Got till end of Jan to find another job at least. I knew our Cell Therapies company had been going bad, 2 projects finished up recently and no extra work on the horizon.But still an upsetting shock.
So my motivation for doing this job is at an all time low as you can imagine. Don't think it's coincidence the two other people have since taken sick leave. Man I'm tempted to do the same..

Wow, that really sucks! Do you get a redundancy package at all?
 
Two drunk guys, very plastered, head into a brothel. The Madam sees them coming..."Hey Girls" she shouts out.."Get out the blow-up dolls for these boys, they're so drunk they wont know the difference". Later, one guy says to the other "I reckon my girl was dead. She just laid there and said and did nothing". The other guy says "I reckon mine was a witch". "How so?" asked the first guy. When i bit her on the ass, she farted, then flew around the room and out the window..

yes I will. Not till end of Jan. I got an estimate but it doesn't take into account my holidays (nearly 2 weeks from before Xmas till after New Years though I only use up 6 annual leave days =D). Regardless it is more than I thought it would be :)
I am considering a job in another department at the hospital I work at. But I must admit losing my whole redundancy package if I stay in the system deters me. Might not get it anyway- I actually don't have any experience for that particular type of lab work (histology). Gawd I hope I start hearing back from places. Been applying for lots and no word as yet :(
