New Year Revolutions

Fairly typical I'd imagine:

1. Less booze and junk food
2. Continue exercise programme and run a marathon (managed a half last year but overdid the training and had to stop)
3. Concentrate more and work harder
4. See some live football

I want to give up cigarettes, i don't know if saying I'll start some other date that NY is just the addict in me making excuses & procrastinating.

Find an outdoor job to volunteer at max, something like the Nat Trust fence & hedge mending or a community scheme. I know it sounds like a pain in the ass but it's a good way to stay focused, I bet you'd work with some sound people and grow to love it. In the spring loads of woodlands and stuff want volunteers and often provide transport. Its nice work where you can just get your head down and work on your own but have a chat if you want to, and a good stepping stone back to the disciplines of a job. And you never know what opportunities may come from it.

I know it may sound naff, but don't dismiss it out of hand. It'll help you in your other NY resolutions. The physical tiredness alone helps combat cravings when they crop up. You're vulnerable just knocking about aimlessly.

If you want to PM me your approx area I can help you look for stuff if its a help :)

Thanks for the great advice B&W.It will be exactly 4 months since I last used heroin on New Years Eve, can you believe one bloke said that I should have a bag that night to celebrate, needless to say I won't be doing that.
As for volunteer work I have already got a contact for some outside work in the new year.
I would be a biodiversity action team volunteer (nice title).
Basically I would be cutting & rakeing grass, post & wire fencing and some scrub clearance.
It's on for 3 Wednesdays each month for about 6-7 hours each time.
But you are right it will deffo do me good to get out of the house, make some new non using friends and make myself feel like I am actually useful again.
I'm looking forward to doing it, never done anything like it before but it will be great to be mixing with new folk and getting out in the fresh air.
No doubt I will post about it once I get started. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post and offer up some great advice. Hope u have a good day.

Wouldnt mind running a marathon myself, but think I will start at a half one, Did one years ago before the boozing and drugs started to take their toll, so will probably try and do the Windsor one this year

Getting off using needles and going back to tooting my gear was the most important move I made that led me to being able to quit using the gear.

I do plan to do some more Salvia at some point next year as well.

Hopefully the Daniel Siebert stuff and not this stuff thats marketed as "Horse Killer" or 60x or something stupid like that

Certainly no middle ground for most regarding it.

Always had very good, meaningful experiences with it.
Is it something that will fuck you up for all eternity sooner or later? Open to debate , but for the moment Im willing to still dive in headfirst now and again.

I've had ten attempts. I reckon that's nine more than most. X20 I'm on about. Is x60 just three times the waste of money? Never learned a thing and certainly didn't have what I call a good time. Still, try anything ten times.

I think so, In all honesty nobody really regulates the standardising procedure, so Its more marketing than anything else.
I never took anything more than 20x and it was mind blowing for me, bought about some really positive changes in my life.

They say the real way to take it is not via smoking and Daniel's website says he is talking in London sometime this year so hopefully can catch up and pick up some tips

Stay off drugs
Goto the gym more often
meeting a stunning intelligent yet submissive nympho woman
Start my own record company/clothing line

standard shit really

If you're not overwhelmed chewing one plain leaf of Salvia then that's your problem and you're doing it wrong.
