Gibberings CXVI - The end is nigh - False alarm, as you were

can't sleep again, just watching the news on repeat talking about gun control, do feel sad but got a real morbid fascination for these tragedies, sure I'm not the only one.. browse Wikipedia reading about massacres, serial killers, or train disasters. Airship wreaks hold a particular fascination some of them are truly chilling, any loss of life relating to technology opposed to fully natural disasters. Well with the exception of tornadoes they give me a real chill, read about them sometimes too, couldn't give a toss about hurricanes or floods

anyone ever read a Stephen King book called Rage about the kid who sets fire to his locker and shoots two teachers then turns his algebra class into a kind of psychological process group where his class mates start opening up? must've read that 5 times when I was younger. And used to obsess over the pylon safety VHS we had to watch in school. Just a confession, guess it's normal, humans are always going to be fascinated with death

Anyway the rolling media coverage is sick, but it seems to scratch a strange itch

EDIT: eww at brain zaps :|

same here, some of those videos they showed us in school were fucked up tbh.
I will never forget 1 I saw about playing on Train tracks & some kid gets his leg trapped in the tracks, guess what happened next?...............

..................He was killed by a huge train as his brother watched & screamed.
These days you would have some E.U. Court order to ban that kind of thing.

I remember some weird public infomation films that were freaky too & that episode of Grange Hill where someone got burned, every night for about 5 years I said a prayer to "God" for me & the dog not to burn to death (fuck my step dad though I would have laughed if he got turned into ash :))

Shit I remember that! a black kid and a white kid if I recall correctly, maybe, one of them goes squish anyway..

always remember from the electricity one the kid getting his kite stuck in the pylon and his mate telling him not to climb after it, to no avail :( Yeah wonder what they play to kids now, or do kids even go near train tracks and sub stations any more? always got that gut fascination/chill from reservoirs as well, big fans sucking you under the black water

When I was young you were lucky to have a NES, I had a C64 so we fucked around on train tracks & really bad places looking back.

I also remember the kite/Pylon hybrid VS dumb child video too, I love EADD so much it's like the best part of BL in my view :)

NO WAY! I thought the nail bouncing up and going into his eye was bad, but I hadn't seen the head seeking missile gas canister, wow. High body count for such a short 'educational' film :D

Oh and then he taken the open flame from a welder right onto a tank of flammable liquid, ok then.. Here is a couple of clips from the one I remember really vividly

Hey you beat me to it! yeah I had a Megadrive and loved video games but when I was 12/13 started hanging outside a lot, especially on the abandoned railway in Timperley, on a few bridges and used to wander the met/train tracks with paint etc..

Always had a healthy respect for wires though, probably from those grainy video tapes! :)

recently done a bit of urban exploring, went up to an abandoned borstal/state disciplinary school near Adel in Leeds, fascinating. Managed to climb over the wall, there was a swimming pool, old books and diaries was spooky. More so because there is a fully functioning Secure Psychiatric Childrens Hospital still open next to the wasteland, with high fences, cameras, alarms and bars, brrrrrr

Have to agree, the gas canister is the best by far with ripped off spinning arm a close 2nd.
I got such a foul look for laughing but how anyone can watch that & not laugh is beyond me.

Been a long time since I seen "football idiots VS high volt Electric" they should fry just for those haircuts imo :)

No I'd be cracking up big time :) its practically like watching this

170 Horror Movies In Three And A Half Minutes

Ha yeah, 90s style.. from what I remember the football one is part of the same video as the pylon one. The kid who gets fried trying to get the football ignores the safety videos in class (including the pylon one) because he is listening to music and reading a motorbike magazine, could be mistaken

Funny what you remember intit

EADD members show drugs don't effect your memory - Daily Mail
or maybe there just so weird they are stained on your mind forever.

That 170 horror movies is great, Ichi the killer, hellraiser, The Evil dead (i never forgot chainsaw hand as I call him) and that Peter Jackson one with killer sheep :)

Done a bit of urban snooping myself but nothing great, I knew a guy on a drum & bass forum that was big into it, tbh I love the idea but am scared of asbestos for some reason, maybe I seen a fucked up film as a kid in school.

Always wanted to hit an Asylum & see some E.S.T machine or some strange medical tools covered in dust etc, the "vibe" you get from going into old places is too weird imo, it's like some "energy" is trapped in there & it knows your messing around where you should not be.

Yeah think it is something I need to do more, if I spend a day climbing over walls and exploring I don't tend to stay up til 5 in the morning watching the news, need to burn more energy! Have been doing press ups and again which is good

There is some good spots in Leeds, including a hospital in Chapel Allerton and a bank with a massive vault up near Adel apparently, this is the first place to check for snooping spots http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/

EADD is the only place on BL as far as I'm concerned, and the only forum on the net I have really posted much on :)

Ridley Scott's company are sending my family cameras to record Christmas for his new 'Christmas in a Day' film (like Britain in a Day). Really bizarre state of affairs. We got chosen because we're hosting two international students over the holidays.

Imagining the voice-over: "Using his online username, or "handle", of "Albion" John* logs into The Blue Lights, a website where users trade sources for legal alternatives to illegal narcotics such as "molly" (ecstasy) and "meow meow". Albion is a moderator on the site, which means he can ban users who cause trouble. "Fuck, looks like The Spade is back" he laughs wryly. "I know how I'll be spending my Christmas". "At least Mugz has kept his promise to stay away, dear" says his mother. "That's right, mum" John laughs, "but Mugz never caused much trouble, he just posted a lot". etc etc

[*Or whatever Albion's name is :)...]

Morning all <3

I've just made a catastrophic mistake in Alcohol Alchemy....
NSFW:
French Brandy & Cider.... :|
It was the equivalent of trying to gain Gold from Lead. Still drinking it though

Still, good things today - I found I've a lot more cash in my paypal account than I thought from my tunes (like, in the £'s!) so I'm gunna buy loads of music, online - Likely to be mostly DnB.
And I get my script so I'll feel human but whether or not it'll be done early morn or early aft is another matter...

Love t'yuz! <3 I'm gunna do some mixing

Shit like that happens to me all the time , Spielberg is nipping round later to film me collecting my Methadone .

Morning Monsta!! Did you get your bag o brown last night? Bet that took the edge off of all this shite you're putting up with from the jobcentre. Dealing with them myself atm and it literally hurts. Anyway, have a nice day and hope you find some gems to purchase!

Maaarnin' Amne :)

Nah I've not had any brown in ages. Said guy has a new number too and I told him that I may see him 'round krimbo. Who knows!
Feeling fairly shitty physical-wise but booze in the early morn - be it silly - and DnB is keeping my mind in check(ish).

Fuckin cunts aren't they?!?! Even with a note from my GP saying "Unfit for work" they seemingly assume I am.
"Considering all the evidence" my arse :|

Might go down to the pharmacy soon to see if my script's done. Likely it won't be and I'll have to return post 3pm. But I'm bored and my back hurts so the walk may do some good.
Should put a new Jungle mix on my empeefwee player. And I really need to cheeck out some DnB I've missed during my steppy / UK garage days.

Hope yer day goes alright too man <3 :)
