Opioids Is it safe to snort Roxicontin?

I know that the new OP oxycontins are much harder to snort as you have to go through a whole microwave/freezer process to get out all the junk out.

Wondered what the low down was with Roxies.

Thinking of buying some of these soon is it worth just swallowing them ( i at this point refuse to inject )


Are Roxies now better than oxycontin due to there new formula. I used to love the OC's lovely warm rush.


The back story is i have been off opiates for over a year but recently went to India and smoked alot of opium and it has re lighted my desire for these beautiful chemicals.
 
Oxys were the shiz, weren't they? Yea, I guess it's a good thing they fucked me over by changing the formula because they were too fun to quit otherwise.

I've used roxis the exact same way I've used oxys.

Is it SAFE?? Really? Uh, NO it's not safe. I got away with it but it was never safe and it will never be safe.
 
Arrrrr just having nostalgic memories of oxy lovelyness. When you say you used them in the same way are we talking about snorting.

I was wondering if just taking them orally might be a better option now that i come to think about it, might make me less eager for another rush if you get me drift.

imho oral roxies are good pain killers.

imho the rush of substance through the membranes in the nasal cavity can cause euphoria.

i did not use oxys or roxys for pain. I used them for euphoria.
 
I have never felt euphoric after having taken an opiod orally.
Ever.
 
I found oral morphine to be very euphoric but i think i might be in a minority, also Hydromorphone orally to be very euphoric .
 
Captain heroin what would be your preferred oral opiate, if you had a choice of any?
 
Talking about euphoria from opioids when taken orally...

If you ever find yourself in the situation of having (almost) zero tolerance and there is any way of getting your hands on some Tilidine, i highly recommend not missing that chance. In my experience, when talking about pure euphoria and not taking the "body high" into calculation, Tilidine can be up there with Hydromorphone, Oxycodone and the other more potent stuff (and sometimes putting them to shame). But obviously it doesn't do shit if you have a massive tolerance from messing with the stronger stuff. Just wanted to throw it in, because when talking about euphoria via the oral ROA, this imo is more than worth trying. But iirc there are only a few places where it's available.

Sorry for getting off-topic, but reading the words "oral use of opioids" and "euphoria" triggers a reaction in me where it becomes impossible not to point out this (at least in large parts of the world) almost overlooked opioid.
 
I always popped oxys. They last so much longer. Snorting feels good for like an hour or two then you're just irritated and pissed off.
 
When I first started out with opiates, even 5mg percocet, eaten, would have me feeling itchy, warm, euphoric; almost to the point I felt like it was psychedelic. Those were beautiful days, when my tolerance was low.

I had tried and done heroin off and on throughout the years, usually no more than a week at a time, just snorting it. I got into snorting roxi's on the reg, and that was a good time, until I couldn't afford it anymore.

Didn't want the opiate rollercoaster to stop so I switched to heroin, had no reservations about IVing, and thus began my ambivalent relationship with H.

I'm now 7 days clean after going cold turkey. It was hell.
 
This topic has been discussed ad nauseum like twice a day for the past ten years so just use the forum search engine to read more about oxycodone and its formulations and popular routes of administration.

Earlier ugly mentioned that they have never felt euphoria from oral opioids and she must not doing it right, lol.

I'll summarize the ROA discussion for oxycodone:
Oral: is the best ROA, is most efficient ROA for getting the most oxycodone into your bloodstream for the longest duration.

IV: SHITTY ROA. Some people think that a 13% BA gain with no rush whatsoever is worth mainlining fine particulate matter into their cardiovascular and pulmonary systems where it clogs and clots up... Don't IV any form of oxycodone for any reason, there's a reason it's not used commonly in the professional setting, and its not heroin so don't pretend that you gotta shoot something when you don't need to and in fact it's better taken orally (which is not the case with heroin).

Nasal: another shitty ROA that will cause damage to your respiratory tract and epithelial membranes in your nasal passages, and for what? A 67% bioavailability, meaning 20% less oxycodone actually reaches the bloodstream compared to oral.

Rectal: this is pretty much the only viable alternative to the oral ROA. Same amount if not more oxycodone reaches the bloodstream compared to oral, but the BA can be variable depending on other factors. Potentially longer lasting than oral and faster onset.

So yeah, just take oxycodone orally for best results.
 
An afterthought, for those who will snort regardless of the facts regarding negative health consequences, know this, putting it into solution would probably make intranasal a little bit safer but will still be inferior to the oral ROA.
