Serotonin rebound after comedown above baseline....wtf is going on.

As a lead on from this thread http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/655788-Nasty-comedown-should-I-use-piracetam , approximately 7 days after a shitty comedown, I seem to have bounced back way higher serotonin above my pre-MDMA dosage.

Prior to last weeks club night, I certainly wasn't in this sort of good mood. It's a continuous good mood also. Normally, I will be baseline, slightly happy, or a bit pissed off. The last 48 hours I'm like a total happy camper.

I know my serotonin is way up...my sex drive is down and I felt quite sleepy earlier this evening - two signs of serotonin boost. The same weed is giving me a better happy high also.

If we wind the clock back 2 weeks ago, I'd go to the gym and get a real delayed happy high. It would prob take till 30-60minutes AFTER the gym to kick in, this has been going on for prob 6 weeks or so. Last gym visit I started getting my upswing of mood while I was in the gym.

To summarise in numerical form

- before MDMA baseline 0
- post MDMA -30 from baseline
- 1 week on from MDMA +20 from baseline

WTF is going on?!?!?!

Have you been taking any supplements? Also how long have you been working out/going to gym? Sometimes a lot of cardio, and or lifting, excercise will raise levels of good mood, and feelings of well being.

Also taking supplements after a mdma trip can also help raise serotonin levels. Could be also things are just good in your life right now, and you're in a 'happy place'?

Pure conjecture; do you have hard solid proof you have increased serotonin?

Did you end up taking that piracetam?

Can you please clarify soon; I don't want this thread to be a "so it's okay to get on MDMA every week thread if you do it my way" sort of thread.
 
No piracetam.

Defo no MDMA for me for 3 months. I totally do NOT recommend doing MDMA every week. I even say 30 days isn't enough. I'm going to try to switch to every 60 days min and no more than 6 outings per year.

Exercise - 1 workout while in the comedown, did nothing for me.

Supplements - do omega 3 daily, did 5htp x 3 days and massive multivitamins + vitamin c. Did nothing for me.

I am just interested to know how I went on a massive landslide of serotonin and then a massive incline, beyond baseline.

I might also add I had a sinus issue since the clubbing. I've had it before and it's mild, but it makes you depressed as fuck. Still, it does not explain how my serotonin was down pre-club/pre sinus....now I'm past the comedown and sinus issue, I'm like in a better place than pre-MDMA dose. Weird as fck to make sense of, I'd expect to go just back to baseline. And also, the real delay in happy boost from the gym is now gone and there is no real delay.
 
So you took some 5-HTP last week, and today you feel good... makes sense to me.
 
Placebo, you may feel good but if you did a brain scan id bet your serotonin levels are lower.
 
or you actually have less serotonin allowing more dopamine to surge, therefore you have more energy and motivation which makes it seem like you are in a better mood.
