Klonopin is one of the most anxiolytic (anxiety relieving) and anticonvulsant non-hypnotic benzos on the US market, but... just because it is one of the best therapeutic benzos to relieve GAD and Panic Disorder by preventing panic attacks, it is also one of the worst benzos for recreational use, since they don't give you the instant high like Xanax.
A lot of a drug's likeability factor is based on how fast it takes effect, so, Xanax taken under the tongue that hits you like a ton of bricks after 5-10 minutes is going to be a lot more likeable than Klonopin taken orally subtly relieving GAD and chilling you out in about an hour. This is why the oral ROA prevents addiction from getting too hardcore, by making the drugs not as likeable, and subsequently, less addictive to yourself.
OP, I would recommend moving on from Klonopin if you're going to abuse it, since 8mg is a massive dose. Try getting your hands on some Xanax bars, as they are ideal for your purposes, due to an obvious "high" that from an HR stance would be beneficial since you would stop after 1-2mg sublingual Xanax melting you in to the couch, rather than popping Klonopins and mixing them with opiates or alcohol and slow your breathing down a bit too much for safety.
