In many areas needle exchanges operate within a legal grey area. It is entirely likely that you could walk away from a needle exchange in some areas and get arrested immediately afterwards. However the cops around here let them be, as they know it actually makes things better in the long run vs having IV users out stealing, scheming, and whatever to get needles and doing whatever other dirty crap. So you dont need a prescription, thats the whole point. Its a place where people can go get needles, virtually no questions asked.

Needle exchanges are harm reduction at its finest. Hence why many cops allow them to operate. Still, be aware if theyre legal/illegal in your area.


As for your shot I'd say it probably was a dirty hit (which I've never personally experienced). If not though I'd say you just overdid it on the subs. Subs have given me similar feeling in the past just not to such an extent as I dont shoot them. Sometimes you just do a sub and almost feel like youre going through w/d. It passes. Just my 2 cents.
 
this happened to me the second time i IVed strips. I dont know what caused it i had all fresh equipment had been on subs for a bit and was like what the heck might as well try it. Shot my self shot my girlfriend then 5 minutes later i got sick and then sicker. Next thing i knew i was puking into the trash can unable to move and it cleared up after about 30 minutes. Needless to say i never shot it again but my girl never got sick. It was strange but i didnt like that "what is happening to me" feeling after i shot some random film that hasnt been out long.
 
Occasionally when I shoot up anything, (haven't had a shot of any substance in a while, actually) I will get the exact feeling I had when I had a number of heart attacks from IV cocaine. I also wonder what causes this. It lasts about 5 - 10 minutes, and death quite literally feels imminent. (Skin on fire, shaking, heart racing faster than one can comprehend in said state of mind, etc.)

Still surviving, though...
 
Sounds like a dirty hit to me. It's happened a few times, both from IV heroin, Cocaine, and Suboxone. You need to watch out and make sure that you don't start to experience any fever, cold sweats, pain, etc, as those can be symptoms of very serious bacterial infections (MRSA).
 
That's happened to me. I shot just a fairly small amount of H into a vein that was already somewhat irritated. About one second after, I started to get sudden stabbing burning pain up the nerve toward my hand. It started to feel really really hot too. After this, it started itching intensely and continuing to burn, and my entire arm right down to my hand started swelling to twice it's normal size. My fingers got so fat I couldn't move them or use the arm at all. Fingers and hand were totally numb as well as most of my arm. It took several hours to calm down and recede enough to let the feeling come back.

While this one experience didn't kill me I'm almost certain it cant be good for your health. How many more times can one experience this before it's their last you know? I'm probably never going to IV suboxone again lol, I might even put the points away for good.
 
My guess is your tolerance was low since you hadnt done it in 2 weeks and you were surprised by the strength of 1mg. I dont think it was any medical issue or a dirty hit, i think you just did too much. When i was opiate intolerant taking 8mg would inevitably make me throw up, now that ive been on 8 mg a day for over a year the 4mg in the morning doesn make me feel a thing. This is just my opinion if it doesbt get better you need to see a dr.

It's definitely much harder said than done.. that's not debatable, so you're right. But... at least you're thinking about it.. even if it's only a little bit. That's a big step in itself. I hope you follow through, man. You know as well as I do that years down the line you'll be glad you gave that shit up.

Man, I really don't think it was the dose. I mean I got high off it but I wasn't that high. I've gotten higher off less before. I'm not superman when it comes to opiates but I have a fairly decent tolerance.
 
Typically, in overdoses I can remember before I totally fell out, true overdose produces such things as blurry vision, loss of hearing, loss of sensation from the body... I don't know, a black and white TV with no speakers and bad reception? I think the OP had an adrenaline storm / panic / anxiety / attack.
 
It has been said before but micron fillters are ESSENTIAL if you "always"shoot your subs man. You are doing insane amounts of damage to yourself (over time) even filtering with a cotton. Seriously order some online please. My good friend just had to have a chunk of his lung removed because of this.
 
1mg a huge dosage??? Sorry capt i gotta disagree with you on that one however i think your spot on with the dirty hit diagnosis. My question to u Dancer is why do ya even bother shootin Suboxone?? The Nalaxone in it will prevent you from gettin a "rush" per say. Are you hooked on the needle?? If so I TOTALLY get it, i myself have been hooked on the point too, the ritual, the feeling of it hittin a vein, all of it. Try and get your Dr(If u get them from a Dr) to give you Subutex, I'm sure you know what it is so if your gonna shoot Bup thats gonna be your best bet. If you can get the tiny 8mg w/a arrow on them. You can shoot them all but that one is FAR better than any of the others and I've tried them all. GoodLuck!!

Did you mean to direct that at Stan the man, not me? I don't shoot Suboxone. However, it's untrue that the naloxone in it will prevent you from getting high.

The bio-availability for buprenorphine is rather low for other ROA's, whereas at IV it is 100%. Recommended IV dosages for Buprenex range from 150 to 300 mcg, which is 0.15 to 0.3 mg.

As the moderator above me explained; buprenorphine has a higher affinity for the mu-opioid receptors, hence naloxone is rendered ineffective. It is also metabolized quicker than buprenorphine.

shooting subs doesnt really produce a rush like, say morphine, but the bio is way higher, thats pretty much the only reason i shoot up, it to get the most bang for my buck lol. but yeah unfortunately i think i am hooked on the needle
