Hospitalization from use of DOI Blotters

WARNING!

IF YOU HAVE ORDERED DOI BLOTTERS FROM *snip* YOUR LIFE MAY BE IN DANGER!

DON'T FUCKING EAT THE "DOI" BLOTTERS FROM THIS SHOP.

My friend ate a "DOI" blotter from them. At the +4H mark my friend CONVULSED AND WAS FOAMING FROM THE MOUTH AND HER NOISE WAS BLEEDING! SHE WAS INCOUNSCIOUS! I CALLED PARAMEDICS AND THEY CAME TO TAKE MY FRIEND TO THE HOSPITAL.

I hope she will be allright! DON'T EAT THESE FUCKING BLOTTER! IT IS NOT DOI!

Sorry for the caps lock but I'm really stressed right now! She only ate 1 and she didn't feel anything until the 4th hours when she start having a seizure and foaming from the mouth! SHE WAS UNRESPONSIVE.

I'm really fucking stressed right now! I hope that she will be allright!

I E-mail spam the vendor to tell him what happened!

Please SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERY PSYCHEDELICS/DRUGS FORUM/BOARD YOU KNOW!

YOUR LIFE MAY BE IN DANGER!

My condolences to your friend, it must be a terrible experience for both of you, I hope she pulls through. However, to what extent do you know it was DOI that was consumed at all? This could be the 'Bromo-Dragonfly' incident all over again, no one can be sure.

I hope she pulls through though :)

EDIT: Just had a look at the vendor in question, and their chemicals look suspect to say the least.

The blotters are plain white and are very small. It cames in a small baggie with "BATCH009#DOI 2.5MG"

PLEASE BEWARE AND SPREAD THE WORD RIGHT NOW.
 
If you're temperature, blood pressure, respirations, or heart rate is at any dangerous levels seek emergency care. Have a SOBER person come verify this, if you can't, go to a hospital.

I hope everyone is okay but find out how to take care of your friend before shitting on a bad vendor out of virulence.

One would assume that, but no. We break it in your case it opens flood doors this has been covered over and over ad nauseaum.

Unless they sell micron filters no mentioning their name.

Use the advice I posted already, IE: educate yourself before taking stupid risks.

The vendor is to blame, not my friend! And YES she did allergy test from the 5 blotters we get! She ate 1/4 blotter a day before with no reaction from this stuff! Tonight all she want was some fun, she took 1 and no she maybe in a trouble for her life.

She was FOAMING and bleeding from her nose/mouth and unresponsive!! I'm so fucking scared right now.

I don't care if you closed the thread but I don't want other people to be injured!

I will warn other board that I know I don't care! I don't take it myself, I just smoke weed instead! The 1/4 blotter the day before shown no intoxication and we both thought that she took a treshold dose so that's why she took one today and now she's at the hospital.

I got her parents throught phone and they were crying and now I don't know what the fuck to do, I can't sleep either and I'm afraid!!

I have edited the title of this thread. Sources have been removed. If it is decided that the source name should be mentioned it will be added to the original post again.

There have been instances of other vendors misrepresenting drugs. The DOx class of drugs are very potent. Kishka, if it is possible, please try and figure out what was actually on the blotters. The more information about this we can get the better. This thread will remain open for the time being. Please keep discussion constructive or your post will be removed.
 
Sorry moderators If i look incoherent and my writing is bad but I'm in full panic mode right now.

I already told that she took a quarter of a blotter yesterday with no effect, we presumed it was a sub-treshold dose and she dosed 1 blotter today and she felt nothing until the 4th hour mark when she felt sick, her face was looking like a zombie then se was foaming and felt on the ground seizing and bleeding just from ONE blotter!

Boys she was UNRESPONSIVE, her face was blue and I've seen blood all over her mouth and nose... I'm scared and scared.

I call Erowid right now and I will phone to Poison Center now.

I really hope that she will be okay but she was looking not good at all! I'm afraid that I've killed her! I hope no but jessssssssus I'm so panicky

Please don't eat the blotter from them! DON'T ! The vendor still didn't reply anymore!!!

Where can I send the blotters to be tested please ??

EDIT : I just E-mail Erowid, I'm waiting for a reply. Can't reach Poison Center... What can I do ?

I find it strange how a quarter of a a blotter would produce no reaction, but a full blotter results in a intense adverse reaction. The only explanation I can think of is that the blotter she took was possibly a massive overdose (perhaps due to uneven distribution of DOI on the blotters), or the fact that this is not DOI at all.
 
I don't know what is this horrible stuff but I'm sure I won't try it for sure!

i understand you are upset but freaking out will not help your friend. thou is absolutely correct - you should seek emergency treatment immediately if you have not already done so.

on the sourcing issue, we've made a decision for the long-term safety of bluelight that we do not allow the posting of sources. if people take the kinds of precautions which are discussed daily on bluelight, then knowing or not knowing the source is not going to be a factor anyway. you're free to disagree, and to feel we're wrong not to allow the source to be posted but we've made our decision and we stand by it.

on the issue of the vendor posting in this thread, kishka, i propose that perhaps you're not thinking straight right now and you're adding 2 and 2 and getting 5. given that we do not allow sources to be posted, the vendor in question is as free to participate in bluelight discussion as you are.

Update : I've contact the admnistrator from Drugs-forum and he will set up a message on the main board.

I will do the same on Shroomery. You should do the same for harm reduction. It wasn't looking to a normal DOI reaction at all!

I'm not great at all, I'm so panicked with this event, it came very quick and it's a whole mess. I'm living alone and I heard her parents crying on the phone and I couldn't talk straight to them.

She is at the hospital from now but that's all I know! I can't have more informations at the moment.

I will report as soon as I can and I will get the blotter tested.

Could I send a sample to the hospital maybe ? Should it help .. ?

Oh my gosh. What a tragedy this is.... I dont know if the hospital will have the resources to help you find out what it was, but if you take it to the local law enforcement agency, they will be able to send it out for testing.

My biggest issue with bluelight seriously! I understand no sourcing to protect vendors but when vendors have qa/qc issues a notification should be made public with the said vendors info! I don't want this to turn into df but god for the sake of true hr post this fuckers name!

It just sounds like a seizure to me, when reading through all the girly hand-flapping "OMG" histrionic bullshit. Although it can look terrifying if you've never seen anyone have one, it's a common occurrence to millions of people everyday with epilepsy. Powerful psychedelic drugs can indeed precipitate seizures in susceptible individuals, so there's no reason as yet to presume that the blotters were anything other than DOI.

The questions you need to ask yourself are: was she on any other drugs? Does she have a history of seizures or any other medical complaints which would predispose her to such?
 
I'd like to know if she was taking any other medications as well as the medical history, too.

Sorry if I came off as harsh didn't mean to be a dick, having one of those days.

Antidepressants and those long acting halogen amphetamines are usually bad news, and if it was an MAOi she were on that would explain things perfectly.

she is concerned about her friend and trying to prevent it happening to other people. So that comment was uncalled for. OP has stated more than once that it was a siezure.
Ive seen literaly 100s of siezures, and even i would be a tad concerned to see blood coming from someones nose and mouth, unless her friend landed flat on her face. Even when people bite thier tongues i've never seen enough blood present in the mouth to leak out through the nose.

Ive seen people fit on mushrooms but only for a few seconds and they've been able to get up a bit dazed and not needed any kind of hospital treatment.
Paramedics would obviously take someone to hospital as a precaution, OP is unclear, but if her friend was still unconscious by the time they'd arrived then clearly this was something serious.
do see your point about the blotters not necessarily being anything other than DOI, but come on, be nice.
 
There is no concievable reason in my mind someone would take a psychedelic and have massive bleeding ensue unless trauma was involved.
I have heard of bleeding from the nose due to 2c-t-7 and 2c-t-21 overdoses, though. But those are anomalies.

I think there has to be more research done, many people take DOx with no problems whatsoever. It would not suprise me if there were drug interactions afoot here.

Condolences to your friend, I hope she will recover. If it's a simple stress-induced seizure with minor trauma due to flailing about, smacking her face, and/or tongue-biting I would not be suprised if she makes a complete recovery. There have been many cases of people overdosing on 2c-family psychedelics but still pulling through.
