i may have told some of you but over the summer i started back at the family business...
well i had a talk with the old man the other day and he said he is going to begin to train me to take over within the next year. that means i will have part ownership, run day to day operations, obtain and manage new clients and run the office. That also means that i will have a plethora of responsibilities that i need to take care of in the next year.
I have to see about obtaining a minimum $25,000 bond which will go up when i hire more people. I have to obtain a collectors liscence ($5k) as well as a location managers liscence. I have have to study the Tennessee Fair Debt Practices act and take a test and score no lower than a 90 (pretty easy i have taken it before) i also have to write the TN Board Of Collections and seek approval (which wont be shit because i have all of the requirements which is work in a collection office for no less than 2 years, and some other small requirements). i am fucking stoked as shit. as pathetic as it sounds its really the only thing i have ever wanted to do (run a collection agency). I have been working here since i was 13 and have always had ambition to run the place. i know the business inside and out i just dont know about the back end (finance) nor am i good with finances, which is ok because thats what genius brothers are for.
the paper thing isnt about the fucking enviroment. the enviroment was the last thing on my mind, however, imo the best thing to do when coming into a situation like this is try to cut down on overhead so you have more money at the end of the month to do what needs to be done. right now our cash flow is so tight that we do not get to do essential things that need to be done around the office, so imo $240 is a great first step in accomplishing just that.
welp, that was the news guys, sorry if you simply DGAF but i am super excited and ready for it.
