Opioids Urgent question.... Can I use H at this time or will I go hrough precip WD's tomorrow

Ok I have an urgent question.

I have been on bupe for about 2 years. I just had a week of using H and today I had my first dose of bupe again(8mg) after 2 days of heroin abstitinence to avoid precipitated WD, but I still got bad precipitated wD's anyway like I always seem to.

I use a little bit of H today will that effect my dose tomorrow, will I precip Wd again? or because the bupe is already in my system should I be ok? Im just a little worried I dont want to put myself through more agony. Please answer quick!

I had tons of xanax this morning and still was in complete agony, so I dont want to go through that again!

BTW the H is just a little top up coz I still feel like shit!

I would assume that if you have precipitated WD from dosing bupe after two day's abstinence then you will probably be thrown into precipitated withdrawals again if you use heroin today. Everybody is different. I never had a problem dosing bupe after 12 hours of using most opiates.

Studies seem to show that steady diamorphine & methadone subjects have a longer adjustment time to the beneficial aspects of buprenorphine, moreso w/ the added naloxone...Also starting to hear more about Opana being in the same category

I'm surprised that you had such a hard time getting back on the bupe after only using H for a week.. especially because you had been on it for maintenance so long. Your body at that point was more used to the bupe than the dope so that should have helped the transition... Even still, waiting 2 full days is usually more than enough time for most people to avoid PW's. However, everyones body is different. If I were you and you've already gone 2 days without dope, don't do it again. Stay off of it and continue to dose the bupe very slowly until you begin to get some relief.

Yea, about 12 hours and you may feel a tiny bit of precipitated WD's. But if you start with like half the strip (or even half of a half of a strip [2mg's]), and continue to administer the bupe (in the small dose) every 2 hrs until the precipitated WD's stop. This is a good way to take a strip, much more effective than if you were to administer the entire strip at once...

But really for me it is more like 14-16 hrs afterward and I feel ok.., %)
