Songs you heard during your first roll

this one was amazing during my first roll, which happened to be a candyflip. since that night I've dedicated myself to producing all kinds of dance music. link in profile if anyones interested. but yeah this song made me rush so hard it was rediculous.

I wasn't at a rave or anything was with a bunch of friends just driving around looking at the sky and stuff. And listened to pretty much any Third Eye Blind or Red Hot Chili Peppers song. Most people seem to be really down to dance and listen to dub but I was just trying to think long and hard.
 
I didn't care about the music the first time I rolled. it was at a rave and I couldn't even tell you the DJs that were there let alone what song was playing. It wasn't until about 6 months after my first time that I cared to go to an event because a certain DJ was there....I just went to get fucked up.
 
I dont remember , i went to a dance club my first time and it was awesome, lots of trance type music from what i remember

I still have the cd we listened to in the car , its all scratched up though, its been so long 12 years
 
The first time I rolled was seeing Nero live at WHP last year, the pounding bass when they opened their set with 'Doomsday' coupled with the gritty rave style venue was the most intense experience of my life!
 
the green cassette tape from DJ 3D(jungle), yes, tape. and i think i had THEE-O(trance/progressive) on my walkman while roaming the neighborhood talking to strangers. this was wayyyy back(1998) before EDM contracted the dubstep virus, and trance and hard house were still popular. you guys are making me feel all nostalgic now. i miss those days :\
 
I know this wasn't during my first roll, or during a roll at all really. I was recently driving on a old farm road on the flats by my house going to pick up a friend from work and it was beyond foggy, at most I could see 50 feet, at the worst about 10 feet. Anyways so I had a friend in the car with me and she put on this song, one of the creepiest moments of my life. I know it doesn't involve rolling at all but just imagine driving down an old farm road at 12am blasting this song with the only lights coming from your headlights and the few passing cars.

Oh nice! I'm seeing Nero in about a months time now, I hope they open with doomsday now haha. It's kinda funny my friends and I always say DUFFday instead of Doomsday because we know a guy with the last name Duffield (aka DUFF) and he is just something. Words cannot describe how legendary this young man is... Scrap that there is a rap about him on youtube!

I honestly can't really remember what specific songs I listened to when I first rolled, but they were all by Pretty Lights (I was at a Pretty Lights show, most amazing show of my life!). The only songs that I know of for sure are Finally Moving and Hot Like Sauce because my friend recorded them on her phone, you should definitely check them out. It's more of a trance/house kind of sound as opposed to dubstep. =D

I had the same experience! The song I most clearly remember is the All of the Lights remix...I get the chills every time I hear it and the show was over a year ago!
 
I saw Claude VonStroke at Rockness during my first MDMA high. I can still feel those throat noises massaging my brain.


(Not my favourite song by him, but it was fucking unbelievable hearing it live! Especially because he was playing in the Arcadia Afterburner, just look it up...)

Also saw Chic earlier that day, which was hilarious. About 90% of the audience were swedged and playing invisible slap bass.
 
I was at a pop punk night in manchester, uk. I remember "Magazines" by Brand New playing, me thinking it was the best thing since sliced bread walking through the club thinking "I bloody live this song, it's not even my favourite Brand New song, but its the best right now! singing the lyrics and looking at people like "you know this one!!!" got a few smiles, Ahh! That was 3 and a half years ago. Still having amazing times on MDMA, mostly due to me being fairly strict with dropping once every 2-3 months mainly, with a few periods of every 2 -3 weeks. But we all go a little mad sometimes. Right? :)
