Overdosing on BATH SALTS

THIS is hypothetical!

So lets say I came across a BIG bag of bath salts. No instructions so I usally add one or two scoops to my bath. That is 40-80g!

It turns out it's a potent drug active at 5-25mg MDPV, ETHYL. etc

It's a drug!! but the person mistook it as what it's legally sold as and that is bath salts? Assuming a low about of water was used could they become active and could the person overdose?

I know the law on it that they aren't really etc etc but I am asking if absorbed into the skin can you sue? Obviously I doubt someone will find that much heh. Bath Salts although aren't human consumption, do absorb.

Are you actually in this situation or is it hypothetical?

Typically a stimulant overdose is going to need immediate treatment. It will come on very fast and strong and probably be very uncomfortable. The person may fall into a seizure and if they are in a bath, they may drown.

It's very possible to feel effects and possibly overdose under those conditions. MDPV is a powerful stimulant and it could pass into the blood stream through the genitals or rectum while submerged.

While I do not know the LD 50/50 of MDPV off the top of my head, I would not wait to call an ambulance if said person began to show classic signs of a stimulant overdose. There's no saying how much of the drug could get absorbed in that situation.

What I am saying is if someone used the drug as a bath salt (I KNOW ITS NOT A BATH SALT) but they came across it perhaps landed in thier garden or something by mistake say a 100g silver bag saying BATH SALTS but they arent aware of the loophole and they are NOT drug users. They used it AS a bath salt and it became active?

Mind you you can't sue anyone really.... it would have to be say someone bought it and "that" happened Would they have a leg to stand on legally? Since it's sorta sold for human use being a "bath salt"

for some reason in the UK here they call them "plant food". Obviously the outcome is less serious but if you paid the price of an xbox 360 controller for a gram of "bonsai feed" and you fed 500mg to a Bonsai worth £100's and it died, can they be sued for mis-selling a product? I am amazed this hasn't happened when real bath salts and plant feeders COLLIDE!

You do realize the amount of bathsalts used in a bath, substituted with "bathsalts the drug" would be obviously not the bathsalts you are looking for since they cost 10-100x+ more by weight? I think that would be enough even if this crazy idea happend to someone and they sued whoever they bought it from, to prove they knew it wasn't really traditional bathsalts, but rather a synthetic research chemical peddled using a half ass legal cover. I mean really, i think if you sold bathsalts the drugs nfhc, you aren't covering your ass at all. Because the huge difference in price of regular bathsalts and the drug bathsalts, would be enough to prove you werent selling them for taking baths.

No one pays $20 a gram, or eigth for bathsalts. And no one finds a random bag of powder laying around, and thinks, oh hey this must be bathsalts, when in fact its a rc stimulant. Or leaves such a large amount around to be stumbled across by an unassuming person looking to take a bath.

I doubt even if this happened, and you took a bath in water with a few grams or more of lets say MDPV dissolved in it, osmotic forces would facilitate transfer across the skin into the bloodstream.

But i might just be taking a joke thread a bit too seriously.

The whole bathsalt misnomer, and how its sold, where its sold, under such a shitty half ass legal guise, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Like people who use swim. At least with research chem suppliers that sell for research purposes only, and tell you what you are buying, theres some sense of not being completely retarded, whether your selling/buying/marketing them, and they have a chance if taken to court. It takes a special kind of stupid to waddle into buying/selling unknown rc stimulant mixes, and if your selling them in headshops, you deserve to get arrested. If you buy them and they fuck you up, you overdose, do something retarded, or think they are actually bathsalts, then you deserve whatever happens to you.

Its not being uninformed, its being completely reckless, stupid, and intentionally ignorant. I have no sympathy for those type of people.

The scenario you describe IRL, would almost have no chance of occuring, and thus i don't even know why i wasted 10 minutes writing this.

I shot an entire half gram of MDPV my first time doing and lived to tell about it...It was the scariest experience I ever had!
Come on tony, who's gonna accidentally buy a 100g bag of "Bath Salts" and think it's really bath-salts?!....

Sure, I guess it could kill you if you mixed it in your bath, just like if you threw a Kilo of coke and H in your bathtub just for the fuck of it!

We don't allow legal discussion on Bluelight, and even if we did this question is so farfetched that I doubt anyone could give you a definitive answer on it. MDPV isn't sold here in regular containers like actual bath salt are, so it wouldn't be an easy mix-up.

Please put some more thought into your threads before starting them. I see you start some pretty random threads that either don't fit anywhere, or if they do we already have a thread on the topic.
