pills the colour of turmeric smell like pepper???

Hi I have 2 ecstasy tablets I plan to drop at a music festival tomorrow and I've just picked them up and they smell like pepper! Has anyone ever heard of this?

Pills are the colour of turmeric and the imprint is a circle with a line through the middle.

Any info appreciated..
