Long-time lurker, decided to register.
I'm on the east coast of Australia, and am on a number of prescription meds and recreational ones too :)
Nice to meet you, say hi if you like.

Hi Morva, welcome to Bluelight! I am also on the East coast of Australia (outer South East of Melbourne to be precise) and it is always great to see more of us signing up! ;)

As a fellow Aussie you should fit right in over at Australian Drug Discussion, its a great community over there and I highly suggest you check it out. Not sure what sort of drugs you are into? Either way I am certain you will find something that interests you between the Focus Forums.

If you have any questions or want to shoot the shit my inbox is always open so feel free to send me a PM. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome DM. :)
I'm in QLD. I've tried a lot of drugs but lately I have been using meth (insufflated) and cannabis.
Been back on the weed after an 8-month break from it. Will smoke the 1-2gs I have left and probably leave it alone for a while again.
Meth is not a regular thing, I've only done it a handful of times. I get hardly any euphoria from it, due to prescription meds (high-dose Clomipramine).

After having quit cigarettes successfully, about a year ago I started smoking again so you can add nicotine to the list.
Recovered alcoholic, been sober over a year now. Was on SSRIs for years so MDMA wasn't an option. :(
Cause I'm also on Risperidone, the only psychedelics I've tried (LSD 3 times and mushrooms once since I've been on Risperidone) don't work for me either, so it's pointless taking any.
Also on a high dose of Sodium Valproate, which probably fucks up some other shit.

Oh, and the occasional Xanax. That's about it for my current drug intake :D.

What form is the meth you are using, speed or ice? I am not really familiar with Clomipramine but I just looked it up and its a tri cyclic, I wasn't aware that reduced the euphoria of meth? We have a Methamphetamine Dicussion Thread in Ausdd that you might wanna check out since it sounds like the main drug you are using lately. There is also a Benzodiazepine Thread which may interest you.

Good on you for a year sobriety from alcohol, that is a real achievement! Is it a coincidence or was there a correlation between you quitting alcohol and taking cigarettes up again around the same time? I am currently an alcoholic myself but meth and opiates are my DOC's.

DM: It's ice/shards. Tricyclics (and some other types of drugs like insulin and MAOIs) are known to interact with meth, personally I feel they take away some euphoria. It also mentions in the
big "Anti-depressants and Recreational Drugs" thread on here that many people do not experience the full effects while on TCAs. I'm on a very large dose, so I tend to get a parallel increase in a side-effects. Then again,
I've only had amphetamine sulfate (once) when I haven't been taking TCAs; I only tried meth since being on them.

Thanks, every day it gets a little bit easier not drinking, but the urges never quite go away completely for long. I don't have to tell you that, though. :)
I think the cigarette relapse and the sobriety are related, two steps forward one step back, ay? :D

EDIT: If I had to pick a DOC I go with cannabis. I'm just dabbling in meth because I couldn't buy sulfate. I'm a shift-worker so I used to buy a gram of speed every now and then as a pick-me-up.

Captain: Actually, I have been to LA, but I was only 9 years old so I don't remember a lot. It was on a trip with my family. I'd love to go now that I'm older though.
