So whats a good present for a 6 year old boy? Hes got loads of Lego and cars, books are boring, is it all about moving parts and flashing lights? Is Connect 4 really boring?

A lot of toddler games are boring for parents if they are second player.. Connect 4 would be tolerable though and its stimulating cognitively.

These look good:

My son is 6, he likes Connect 4, its not his favourite though. Here's some things he likes, either he's got them, or he wants them, or his mates have them.

He really liked his Gerber multitool for his birthday, little knife, pliers, etc...

Lego Ninjago is good, it's a ninja series of lego.

Cars are always good.

He also likes his globe. Map and compass.

And he's got an electronics set that he likes, attaching things together to make buzzerz buzz and lights light up etc.

A facemask and snorkel for the summer.

A pair of comedy glasses with eyes on springs.

A telescope. A microscope. A set of magnifying glasses.

A head torch. Torch.

Game of Frustraton, Monopoly/Junior Monopoly.

Dictionary.

I Spy Books (not called Eye Spy boks now but same principal, they spot things for points.)

Marbles. A marble run if he hasn't got one.

If he hasn't got a NERF gun,get a Nerf and a few spare darts. Water pistols for the summer, super soakers etc.

MP3 player.

and there's some ace books about, kids books are pretty fucking good at not boring the little buggers. Books of recipes/experiments/projects that he can do with his mum/dad always goood value....

There's a lot of shit out there too...plasticcy merchandise heavy shite, but 6 year old boys are easy to please....

EDIT>>>>>a fucking KITE if he hasn't got one, 5-6 year olds can handle small 2 line power/stunt kites, don't get him a one string kite.

Reading that post reminded me how great it was being a young lad and you are so on point with what to buy a young lad.
I used to love my torch cos I could read my books under the bed covers at night time.
Magnifying glasses were great for looking at(burning) ants etc. I used to read loads of books and its got to be a good thing to encourage them to read.
Oh to be a kid again when everything was exciting and a adventure.
Have a good day everybody.
