I thought the risk was that the vagina has a very delicate pH balance that is easily disturbed and when it is disturbed it can readily acquire an overgrowth of yeast or bacteria. The vagina is acidic (ideal pH of around 4) and Alka Seltzer is basic, so it could make the vagina less acidic. Putting random stuff in your vagina or on your genitals can cause a number of problems, the vagina/vulva are a lot more sensitive than the mouth. It is easily irritated and requires a perfect balance of acidity and flora to thrive. Things like yeast/bacterial overgrowths or urinary tract irritation or infection don't show up right away. Some women are more prone to this kind of stuff than others of course.

I was addressing the risk of tissue injury from the chemicals in the alka itself, which I still reasonably believe to be a non-existant risk. (My hypothesis seems to have some experimental, empirical evidence in the form of OP)

As for fungal infections, well, I dunno, presumably washing with water and soap (itself rather alkali) would cause this same problem, no? Rinse out the vaginal enviroment with water and introduce an alkali should raise the PH too, no?

i just would rather use alka sletzer to help with a stomach ache than to eat it out of a girls vagina. but if thats what gets you off, eat whatever you want outta there bro. have dinner out of a vagina idgaf
