Benzos Alprazolam Powder Solubility?

Not sure if this should be in BDD or here.

I have 500mg of pure alprazolam powder, I wanted to dissolve it in vodka. I know that it is not soluble in water so won't be using water, I also know that it is not very soluble in vodka but it is soluble.

Exactly how soluble in vodka is alprazolam? How much vodka would be needed to comfortably dissolve 500mg?

I was thinking of 1 litre of vodka which would make a 0.5mg/ml ratio

I really don't want suggestions to dissolve it in a different liquid, would just like an answer to the question please.

^^ safe to assume when dissolving *most* drugs, but dissolving benzos is a safe way to take a precise dose if you don't have a mg scale.


Also, i know this doesen't entirely answer your question but it took less then 15 seconds to search for, try searching this site a bit more and you will most likely find your answer, try google as well.

No I don't, I didn't ask "how soluble is vodka in alprazolam"

I actually asked "how soluble in vodka is alprazolam" which would also mean the same as

"how soluble is alprazolam in vodka"

But if you were making a solution for oral consumption, then the only one of those that isn't toxic would be ethanol, right?

anyways, alprazolam is practically insoluble in water; sparingly soluble in alcohol and in acetone; freely soluble in chloroform and dichloromethane.

please tell me you have a scale able to have .001 g significant figures

He posted this in 2010.

Alprazolam is soluble to 0.04mg/mL in water on its own; if you wanted to make a solution with it for oral use, that would be very doable. You would also probably want to use a preservative.
 
a drug user having 12 grams of pure alprazolam sounds like a SERIOUS trainwreck waiting to happen.... be carefull bro... Theres no benzo like xanax when it comes to the way the withdrawls hit and how fast/hard they do.

I also read that Propylene Glycol would be a good solvent and so I'm going to try that in 1mg/mL solution.

your volatile solvent of choice will probably be dichloromethane or ethyl acetate
