Hi i am just wanting to know how i can post an image in a reply to a thread. I am using my mobile to access the site,. Sorry if this has been covered, i tried searching for an answer without success. Thanks in advance.

Edit: in particular, uploading an image. Do i have to go through a third party site and then link it in my post?

^ your image doesn't live on bluelight - it has to already be somewhere on the web and we just link to it. there are many, many free sites on the web to which you can upload your image and subsequently link to for display on bluelight. some of the more popular sites include:

http://www.photobucket.com
http://imageshack.us/
http://www.postimage.org/
http://tinypic.com/

once you upload your pic to one of those, see post #2 in this thread for how to make it appear.

My image hosting site of choice is http://imgur.com/

Once you upload your image it puts it into code [BBCode (message boards & forums)] for you so that all you have to do is copy/paste it onto here and you are all set.

I have only used it on my computer though so I don't know how well it works with smartphones.

posting images from my phone works fine. are you sure your phone isn't adding spaces when you post rangrz?

you have an extra space after the first image tag.

nevermind, it isn't working from my phone either

^ Probably, although you may need to use a real email account to verify the photobucket account. It only makes sense to use an email address that isn't liked to your personal information in any way, so you should have a separate email account for such things. The reason why I use imgur is because they don't require you to sign up to upload pictures.
