Anyone out there who actually keeps a "once a week only" habit...?

Ok so i really just interested to see if theres any of you guys in this site who can acctually do an opiate, any, just once a week, or every two weeks.. and how long have you been doing it for.
I personally always said to my self i can do it and i kind of have for the most part, but recently its gotten to 2- 3 times a week, its just so damn hard.
Doing it only once a week and keeping it at that is probably the hardest thing to do but of course so rewarding, no tolerance pretty much no side effects, you get superr high everytime.

Soo anyone on here who has acctually kept their opiate recreational use to once a week and for how long have you done it. Do you get nice and high everytime still ?
My goal is to try and do this and have as much fun with these amazing drugs as i cann .loll

You really cant play the "get high here and there kind of game". with opiates. Im just saying never say never and be careful in your situation. its almost impossible to be a recreational user of this type of drug. Not saying it cant be done. However its not fire to play with and ignite.
 
I do 60mg IR oxy 1-3 times a month I have for about 7-8 months now. This month I used 8 30mg pills over about a week during some benzo w/d so now I'm taking 3 weeks off before taking any more. So far I've noticed no tolerance increase so far.
 
Man i dont to them too much but honestly ill have like 10 perc 30s they will be gone in 2 weeks, i gotta get that high everday, dont try to use them weekly you will just get more addicted. I could quit if I could stop doing them but its hard when i have them a lot :/
 
There was a period in my life when I took opiates (and other drugs) only on special occasions, like a concert, holiday, or party. Rarely did this exceed a single evening. This was possible because I could not afford to consume as frequently as I really wanted.

It felt good and I never had any withdrawal (maybe a hangover). However later in life I had more disposable income and increased my usage (both frequency and dosage) and eventually it just was not as fun anymore.

I sure miss those early care-free days when I was a poor student and could only indulge one or twice a month.
 
I'd just like to give a virtual high five too whoever does!

Time management for me is a motherfucker, let alone complications like drugs.
 
the only opiate i use is codiene and thats a once a week thing.

i like to keep my tolerance low.

benzos though thats another story haha too easy not to keep to just once a week
 
I did it for a quite a while (more than a year or so, can not remember exact). I did it once a week whilst I was attempting to both bulk (bodybuilding) and then have a cut. Instead of cheat days, I would have an opiate day on both of the programs, and this went on for a long time.

The sad thing, is that I would always seem to very slowly shortcut the "rules" and find myself using daily. I have since attempted to go once a week, but I slowly get back into daily or every second ay type use. People on this site say that opiates can not be used once a week, at first I was very sceptical of this claim. I am now starting to believe them as I see the clearer picture. I can go cold turkey for many months, but If I have a rule where I can only use on such and such day, it is way harder than doing NONE at all.
 
It's a big world any anything is possible. I'm sure there's people who can use opiates once a week, but if you're trying to limit your use, you're pretty much fucked already! Somebody who wasn't already addicted to them wouldn't have to try to control it!

I stole that line of thinking from AA, but I believe it's true...lol
I know if I start using opiates at all, I'm gonna end up doing it every day. Even years ago, when I first started, it was every other day, every thinrd day tops and that usually went straight into daily use within a short period of time.

everybody's different. But thousands of years of history and the personal experiences of millions of people have proven these substances to be addictive...
 
I've had no trouble sticking to only occasionally opiates, but they don't really speak to me the way they seem to for many people.

We discussed many scenarios in my addiction counseling classes and the consensus is that someone who comes home from work and has 2-3 drinks everyday but has no economic, professional, social, health or other problems for their use; still fulfills their major role obligations and doesn't give up activity for their drinking has less of a problem (or no problem at all) compared to someone who drinks once a week but blows all their money at the bar, drinks to the point of getting sick, makes bad decisions as a result such as sexual promiscuity that they are ashamed/embarrassed about, possibly injures themselves falling down or something and all week long thinks about finally getting to have that drink and has to forcefully resist the urge all the time.

It's not the amount or frequency that really defines someone's problem but the relationship they have with the drug and the consequences their use produces.

People can have a problem with a drug they only use once a week and there are people who blow every extra cent they have on heroin, oxy, etc. only once a week and then all week long think about their next fix. Whether you want to call them an addict or not is a matter of definition but it's evident they have a problem.
 
i can really relate to your post, an addictive relationship with even marijuana.

wtf i know i posted here???

mindset plays a key role, but there are proven (utilizing scientific method), biological reasons you feel physical pain.

Shit i wish they were that good for me..They just throw me into a panic attack. Im guessing because of the dophamine release. Who knows though? I hear this happens to other people to. Some right off the bat and some after years of use. Mine happened to me out of the blue one day. I took them after surgery no problem. A few years later im in pain and cant take em anymore.
 
I've been using for 10 years, have friends that have been using twice that long... and I've never met anybody who was able to remain a weekend warrior or "casual" user for very long... yeah maybe you can pull it off for a couple years and even that is an impressive feat... but it always ends eventually. All it takes is that one hard week, maybe your chic leaves you, or you get fired from work.. and it's day 3 and you know you were never supposed to do it again on day 3 but this time.. you say "fuck it" and you go ahead and use again..well on day 4, you wake up strung the fuck out and whamo. You're back. I especially think its even more impossible for a former hardcore addict to go backwards and be successful at it. Maybe somebody who has never really been strung out before can do it, but once you've been a full blown addict.. it's near impossible to go back to using your drug of choice any other way.
 
I was addicted to opiates for ~6 years, then was totally clean for a year and a half.

A year ago started using drugs again. I've used opiates maybe 4 times. Each time I've bought a pretty significant amount, planned on saving it and ended up binging. Afterwards came the guilt but generally abstinence for 2-6 months.

It's dangerous. I'm playing with fire. But sometimes I just really want to get high. I have regular connections but it still takes about a week to get the shit so I can't usually do the impulsive buy thing, which is nice.

Safe route: don't do it
 
It can be done but it is very hard, I had an unfortunate incident and realized my use was becoming major problem so I weened off using on my own with support from friends family and therapist. The hardest part was not smoking herb but if you have the ability to have strong will power and control it can be done. You must just limit your intake and frequency enough so it does not become habit forming. You must also be able to see what other goals you have in life and to see the things that are more important than chemical pleasures. It can be done it just requires extreme wil power and occasional frustration but will leave you much happier in the end. If you can't have the will power to control yourself i will reiterate Disraeli_Beers point- the safe route is don't do it at all, if you think you can give it a shot but if you find yourself slipping back in you need to stop and pursue other activities that can be just as, if not more enjoyable and not to mention worry free.

If you can control yourself be responsible, if not you will end up ruining something you love that you never could have imagined.
I dont mean to preach or try to give hope to those who want to use but can't but there are some people who are responsible and safe enoguh to take care of things and not ruin their life in the process

^^this...i controlled it for over a year but it got me real good in the end!! Unless you really dont like opiates but then why would you be doing them anyway??

Similar here. I've used oxy once a week for about a year I guess. Don't feel any compulsion to use.

Some tolerance seems to have built but I don't know whether that's psychological or not. I used to find 40mg would be more than enough but the effects are certainly less than they were. I tried skipping a weekend to see if this would change but it didn't. :!

My stash has currently run out and even though I have access to them the price now seems excessive compared to what I was paying. Consequently, I've gone without...
