I'm new to cocaine and I just bought 1gram and my friend was showin me how to snort it properly,we both did like 3 lines and after some minutes he got really high and it didnt have a single effect on me,my heart was bumping quite faster but I wasnt feeling euphoric,or happy,or any other symptoms that people often describe when they snort coke.I used marijuana some times and I also couldnt feel the psychological symptoms such as lazyness and feeling calm and relaxed, but I could feel the effects on my body (feeling a lil light, heart bumping fast, dilatation of the pupils and stuff). Is there a problem with me?Or am I just snorting it wrong?

Sorry if my english isnt good,I'm from Brazil :)

interesting it is. i presume you havent blitzed dopamine through other drug use. of course it could have been cut to fuck and your friend was getting placebo effects.

I can't really tell the quality of the powder, but I must say it was pretty expensive (*snip*/gram) and it's really white and it already came as powder, only needing to cut a bit because there is some "big" chunks of it.Also, when I put a lil on my mouth/lips it becomes really numb for minutes

i wouldnt pay attention to numbing effects. without leading you down a dark road, i would say you could possibly try rocking and smoking to see if you get effects. im not sure if some people are naturally tolerant of cocaine or not but just remember we are all wired differently and environment can play a part too.

I dont think I want to try crack (thats the name for rock-form cocaine, right?)but thanks anyways. Is is alright if I mix it with alcohol? And how much grams do I need to snort to have an overdose?Am I goin to have problems if I mix what I have (less than a gram) with alcohol?

Just because something is a white powder doesn't mean its cocaine. Just because something is expensive doesn't mean its cocaine. Just because something makes your mouth numb doesn't mean its cocaine.

We have no idea how many grams you could snort before you overdose because we have no idea of the purity of your drugs or your individual reactions to those drugs. But snorting grams of anything is not a good way to approach doing drugs. Also, mixing alcohol with cocaine is a dangerous practice as it produced cocaethylene, a new drug that may be even more cardiotoxic than cocaine (which is already cardiotoxic by itself).

How long, after snorting,do I have to wait to drink alcohol without any chaces of having any problems?

I would wait until the next day before drinking. A rule of thumb is to never combine drugs when taking one of them for the first time, so since you took coke for the first time you shouldn't be mixing it with alcohol, even if you wait a few hours. It can still mask the effects of the alcohol so when it wears off you will be way drunker than you may intend.

As for why you didn't get high, well it could be that you just don't like cocaine. Personally I find it to be a shit drug, so even if it's working on me I don't feel good on it since I don't like stimulants.

^ His heart was beating quite faster. I do feel some effects from it, just none that I would describe as good. I guess I figured that's what the OP meant too.

Coke can be surprisingly subtle, even if it's relatively high quality - it can take several tries to 'get' it and really feel the effects. It can seem weak even compared to strong weed, in terms of immediate in-your-face intoxication, but wherever you are, there's a very high chance it's heavily cut, and a lot of coke is cut with aneasthetics.

It's not really worth developing a taste for it, but a lot of 1st-time users swear they feel no effect at all, even with high purity coke: it's much, much more nuanced than amphetamines, as stimulants go. I learned to 'appreciate' it over time, but still consider it much the most over-rated drug of common use/abuse. In Europe, it's very common for people to try weed, X, speed and acid before they come across coke - and when they do, a 'wtf? this stuff doesn't do anything' reaction is quite common. The relatively high price reflects its addictiveness - once you do 'get' it, it's very easy to fall into habitual use, and to end up unable to enjoy anything without coke.

This is good advice. Wait until you have a solid idea of how cocaine interacts w/ your chemistry before you compound it w/ alcohol use.

And this is what I came here to say, ostensibly. My first time using coke, as well as my first time using ecstasy (not together), it took a while for the onset of the effects, and they were subtle comparably to later experiences I had w/ each drug. Especially w/ coke I had this built up overestimation of the euphoric returns of the high. When I tried it I was very underwhelmed. As I gained more experience I learned to appreciate it for what it was, but still have always considered it an overrated drug. It's also quite bad for the brain.

this, this, and this!!!

you got shitty coke mos def

first time i did coke i did like 3 lines within 40 minutes and didn't feel anything either. i actually just ended going to sleep a couple minutes after my last line, so i literally didn't feel anything... and i know for a fact it was pretty good stuff because i tried it again the next day and it kinda overwhelmed me. i think this is perfectly normal. personally i think this kinda stuff can happen to people that have never done narcotics before and don't know what to look for ?

i shoulda just chalked it up as a loss and never done it again honestly. i also feel like coke is way overrated. way too expensive for what it does. it lasts way too short and ruined the rest of my day every time i've done it.

Read up on washing cuts from your coke via an acetone wash then try it and see a world of difference

While my experience differs, I think this could still apply to your experience ...
YEARS ago, I smoked crack for the first time and felt absolutely NOTHING. I know for a fact that there was nothing wrong with it, as 3 other people around me (who were very experienced) smoked the exact same thing-They were crazy high.
Although I haven't touched the stuff for many years, I did go through a long period of psychological dependence on this drug. I really don't have an explanation for you, I'm sorry to say. I think sometimes something is done wrong the first time one experiments with a new substance.
For me, it took two or three tries to really get the results I'd been expecting.
I'm not by any means telling you to keep trying... I certainly wish I had left it alone. BUT, Figured I would share what happened to me. Obviously I'm not able to explain this...however, I think it is fairly common.

I've heard with strong opiates like heroin this is actually *extremely* common - some say that maybe 1/3 to 1/2 all people feel nothing too enjoyable the first time they try it; with stims its less common but it can probably happen with every single drug there is, if our bodies just aren't used to some very different state of mind, they don't react the way we would expect.

But as others said, there is not point in trying it again really. Options are: you won't really enjoy it just like now -> waste of money & time OR (the worse option) you will start to like it very much and possibly become addicted to one of the shortest lasting stims there are which is nothing good.
