How are you supposed to enjoy acid as a group?

I mean... It's not like everyone hallucinates the same way. It'll just be a big mess of people looking ridiculous in different ways lol, no?
 
funny you say that. me and a friend had a psychic like experience on acid, my one and only time ive had it. we talked afterwards about what we saw and thought and some of the things matched up it was mad
 
I think the empathy can beautiful that you understand that another person is experiencing something similar even if it is not the same. That part that is the same can be shared through talking which can be extremely touching, like if you share ego-death like experiences there can be very intense mirroring through the non-duality perspective.
That part that is not shared can be allowed to be experienced alone, I recommend that in groups there should be explicit understanding for people taking some alone-time. Don't let peer pressure (even among very good friends!) give everyone the idea that they have to entertain the rest while at the same time making it clear that you are there for each other when necessary.

^ Yep. This. My friends, being mostly made up of experienced trippers, can empathise a great deal, they know how it goes down. So people wandering off for a bit of personal reflection time happens without it needing to be communicated. And if someone sees/thinks something cool that they wish to share, it can be fun doing so and hearing about it.
 
Haha yeah you don't know how truly fucked up you are until you hear the mad ramblings of someone who is also somewhere down the rabbit hole.

TS: The way you emphasize group/mass hallucinations as supposing them to be essential to a proper group trip reminds me of the way I used to think about psychedelics before I had done them. I thought it was like a strange movie you would see with cartoons running around, but you would still remain yourself as a spectator. I was very wrong, there is no separate subject object split in your own participation in the world rendered inside your own head. Remember that what you think is the outside world is always entirely synthesized by your own brain even if it is using external input.
Tripping (or being sober really) is living that movie, not only seeing it. You can only be inside your own mind, so this makes the mass hallucination a moot point. But you can be more connected with another tripper since you both have something special in common: you are both seeing the illusory nature of your own boggled mind, therefore on a deep level you both are witness to some unusually transparent transcendental truth.
 
I never really put any thought into it - everyone just entertains each other somehow. Have some good music and maybe some trip toys if possible but you rarely need them. There is a lot more to LSD than the hallucinations!
 
I almost always do psychedelics in a group, what's the problem? You each talk about things you're seeing and feeling and your similarities and profoundness with them and talk together about things greater than yourself.
 
I always hated having to go home and be alone tripping. Being with a friend made it more enjoyable
 
I actually came on to bl to make this kind of thread: 3 of us will be doing 25i nbome (~1mg each, probably a little less) sometime in next 3 weeks, we've got a really comfortable setting and afaik in good mindsets, and we're really honest with each other. I just have no idea how to entertain them as they're my guests. I was just thinking chilling taking with music on tv in background. Talking might have to go amiss since it's tabs.
My little brother will be home after about 2 hours after we start and he's k being sitter, and I have many sparklers left over from 5th so I was also thinking doing our own crazy light shows using them. I have no coloured leds.
Also, anyone had experience with psychedelics (more specifically 25i) and trampolines? Sounds silly but vasoconstriction, nausea with exercise and bouncing/flips and shit doesn't sound too wonderful

Take it with people who's company you enjoy. Maybe have some music queued up, or simple activities planned. Don't over-think it.
 
I can't stand it, I'm sure some people might enjoy seeing aspects of themselves reflected back at them through friends while under the influence of LSD's overwhelming sensory stimulation.. but I always find myself caught up in a story that is being played out like a script and all I can do is watch it unfold, whether it's awkward or enjoyable.

There's too much synchronicity to the point where it truly is like being in a grand drama that is entirely centered around the issue of yourself and the inevitable realization that you don't actually exist, which I have to admit is hilarious to watch unfold amongst groups of people when I'm sober.. but I guess I've gone through this enough times that I'd much rather just fade out to music.. Although even that can be a challenge as LSD seems to have an insatiable thirst to deconstruct everything analytically.. so it becomes more about the technical foundation of the music rather then the emotion of listening too it.

But it does make 300bpm mechanical darkpsy the most amazing symphony of beats imaginable!

I think I did too much when I was younger and now I'm just over it, lol :)

I remember once, down a canal, there was about 6 of us, we all hallucinated the same hooded figure with red eyes in a forest clearing ( I say 'hallucinated, I'm not sure what it was). It was like a tall ewok. It turned and walked back into the forest. We all stood there, mouths agape. "wtf was that!? Did you just see that!?" lol. We spent hours looking for it...nearly the whole trip. We never stopped talking about it for months. Never seen anything like it again. I can't trip in a room with people, but I have tripped outdoors, camping in farmer's fields, along canals and country roads, with up to 10 people. Lots of space is what's needed. Lots of space and nature. I prefer to trip alone though, indoors or out.

25i is great for groups because of how easy it is to convey your thoughts.

And +fucking 30 on the trampoline while trippin :D
 
I've tried a few different hallucinogenics but never LSD and a few friends of mine also say there is a lot more to it than visuals, what other effects should I expect?
