25c nbome, really short trip

Bit of background about me.

I have done LSD a few times, a couple of times I was sold something which definitely was not LSD, I have been told most likely a DOx.
I have done a few other things but nothing else relevant to this thread. Over the past 2 months I have not tripped once, only smoked weed.

Got some 25c from a reputable guy. Supposedly .8mg. Never felt a come up so quick, 15mins and I felt it hit. I tripped hard, very hard amazing visuals for 2 hours then it died down. By 4 hours there were barely any visuals and only the slightest euphoria. I was under the impression this drug lasts a lot longer.

Anyone got any understanding of this? Got some 25i as well, is this likely to be the same with regards to trip length? They are supposed to be 1.2mg.

Is this on blotter paper. Both me & my girlfriend have had something similar happen when taking it via buccal or sublingual routes. Can't explain it, but I assume it has to do with absorption rate & rapid tolerance. But I've been wrong before, so who knows. I'll let this get a few responses before I merge it into the B&D 25c thread

Yeah AMD it's possible from tachyphylaxis which may be stronger in some than others (in other words: rapid tolerance after only single exposure).

Held it between my top gum and lip for 30mins, kinda burnt my lip and went all numb. So you saying my tolerance built up from when I put it into my mouth to the end of the trip. Does this mean 25i will be the same?

I don't think that tolerance is involved here. IME, 25C has the shortest duration of the 25X's, typically 4-6 hours. I think that this is a good feature, since it can be taken in the evening and sleep is still possible. :D 25I lasts much longer, about 8-12 hours. This is most likely the result of faster metabolism of 25C, and individual variation in metabolism could make it even shorter. Tolerance results from receptor internalization of ligand complexes, and will be worse with longer acting compounds since the receptors are occupied for a longer time.

I insufflated it the one occasion recently where I tried it. Come up almost too fast, within five minutes full on rushing and the cool but fairly samey visuals on every surface. I experienced the same sharp drop-off after 2 hours. The thing is during that peak I didn't feel euphoric, although I did afterwards (it was a mild, peaceful sort and not full on permagrin stuff) and that continued for the whole day. I still had occasional rushes. I struggle to pinpoint whereabouts the trip ended and the afterglow began.

OK cool, I have just haven't found much evidence online of such short trips.

Quick question because I don't want to start another thread, what is the cross tolerance for 25c and MDMA and 25i and MDMA with regards to doing and RC one night and MDMA the next?

Depends on what you call the end of the trip, or dropoff... IMO, 25C-NBOMe could still clearly be felt after about 12 hours in a way I would still seriously consider counting as part of the experience and including in the number of hours.
