How would you go about plugging librium, similar, to valium. The librium is comepletly water soluble.. only reason I plug is cause I don't wanna get the needle fever again haha. I'm pluged other pain killers just wondering if the librium would work

I've never personally used that particular benzo however it should work with no problems. Also, it may be a bit stronger too so you may want to break your dose into two shots just to be sure you're not overwhelmed by the same dose you could handle orally.

DO NOT SHOOT IT!!! It will NOT work!! Trust me benzos do not work iv unless they are iv(lorazapam). When I was younger like 21 i tried shooting diazapam so many times i cant count....wasted so much!! Then I learned you CANNOT SHOOT benzos unless its the liquid form. You can shoot 30 valiums & not feel a thing...just take it....otherwise its a WASTE!!

He was talking about plugging, not IV use. :)

Plugging is rectal administration, which means shooting the liquid up your butt hole. ;)

IV benzos work fine if they're dissolved properly, i.e. in the right solvent.
i never saw the reason to plug any benzos, as most work just fine sublingually. chlordiazepoxide is in my experience next to tetrazepam the most underwhelming and underpowered benzo. the only thing it seems to be good for is tapers.

^ Don't IV Librium. It's one of the weakest benzos and in my experience, IV benzos provide no rush or anything, with the exception of midazolam. Plus most benzos have an extremely high bioavailability.

Opps...sorry!! Thought plugging was iv...i learned somthing! I really dont understand why youd want to do that but hey to eachs own.

I thought the same thing until I plugged morphine for the first time. :) For some drugs plugging is the way to go or is a lot safer than other ROAs (snorting, IV, IM, SC for example). Don't knock it til you've tried it, it won't turn you gay or anything like that. ;)

It's strange, some drugs seem to be MUCH better than others when plugged. There are so many different things that can impact absorption though, right? What if one is constipated, but doesn't feel they need to actually go to the bathroom? Would the constipation alone cause problems with how well any given drug is absorbed?

If you're constipated then yes, it will make a difference. Basically if you have a mass of poo sitting right where you plug the substance a lot of it will just go into your feces and will never make it to the blood stream. For me this is a plus though because it means I can't plug every day and have to take breaks so I can have a few bowel movements between doses (so it keeps my use in check basically).

I think that's the problem a lot of people have when it comes to plugging, they try it one time and it doesn't work because they were constipated and they never try again. Even when you're totally cleaned out you can mess it up.

For example, I see a lot of advice here from people that say they jam the entire length of a 1ml syringe up their bum. That is totally not necessarily and is inserting it _way_ too far up there. You only need to go in just far enough to be able to squirt in the liquid without it dribbling directly back out. This sweet spot takes trail and error to find, but by your third time you should be able to find it with no issues what so ever.

The BA will vary from substance to substance like all other ROAs, but even those numbers seem a bit off sometimes. For example, some of the numbers I've seen for morphine are just slightly higher than the oral ROA, however, when I plug morphine it hits me harder, gets me higher, and lingers around for at least two days. If I did the same dosage orally I wouldn't even feel it...

Wow, thanks for the info! I'm really not trying to be gross here, but...
I AM constipated, but not to the point you described. I don't feel that there is anything anywhere near the opening. I am a chronic pain patient and that is the reason for my constipation. I feel like it is way way up there, not right at the opening ready to come out at any minute. Do you still feel this would cause an issue with absorption?

there's no reason to ever plug a benzo.
it's like they were meant to be swallowed. ;)

for some painkillers it makes sense to plug..
morphine for instance..
but benzos already have a high ba orally.
there's just no reason for it.

It may, it may not. I suggest at least trying to have a bowel movement or two before you attempt to plug just to make sure. I understand about the constipation as I often had that problem too, and I assure you despite what you feel you could have a mass of feces right at the hole and not know it. I once had an impacted stool right at the exit hole and didn't know until I went and tried to have a bowel movement (hadn't gone in days, morphine constipation).

What I did was waited until I started to go into withdrawal as that usually got things moving (as I'm sure you know). I understand this might not be possible for you. If you can't wait you might want to look into a change of diet or stool softeners, there are a few good threads around here on opiate constipation. Try to stay away from laxatives if you can they will make the problem worse over time.

All that said you can attempt to plug it and you might get great results, however, you could also waste all of your drugs. It is a hit and miss thing when you're not 100% sure if you're cleaned out or not.
