Of all the films I have ever seen this guy stands out in every way hence why he should have a thread about the love of his unique film style.
Irréversible is 1 of the most savage films I have come across, after it finished I sat there for a few mins to get myself back together again, I had never come across anything like that before. From Rémy Belvaux film "Man bites Dog" to Takashi Miike "Visitor Q" this is up there as 1 of the most savage films
Enter the Void is my top drug film of all time & also holds alot of my "Religious" views too. On the 1st time I saw it, once again I sat there for a few mins after just numb from what I had just seen, took me most of the night to shake this weird feeling.
Turns out the film made hardly anything at the cinema & is held as some "cult classic" The director when told his film was on youtube in full said to leave it up so people can watch it, nice guy imo. Don't watch it if you have Epilepsy though.

I Stand Alone as his 1st full film was not that great for me tbh, I wont go into depth tbh but it still had that smack to the head feeling after watching it.
For me nothing beats Enter the void though, 1 of the best films ever & 1 of the most cutting edge director's without going up his own ass in Art house cinema.
