I don't really know much about Romney or Mormonism but just because Romney's a mormon (and in fact was lay clergy) doesn't mean he actually believes it word for word. How many normal Christians take the bible all literally (including clergy)? They're not all fundamentalist nuts. A lot are but not all. Many are a different kind of less harmful nut.
 
Call me a cynic but I don't see much use in the 'legalizing for medicinal purposes' bit once they introduce a strain that has the same medicinal benefits as normal weed but doesn't have a high to it.

I went to a secular school that was near to a Mormon chapel, so I spent time with many Mormon fellow pupils and a couple of Mormon families.

Beyond a certain level of social conservatism (which as weird for east Manchester and its environs) they were actually pretty normal people. Maybe they reserved their weirdness for Sundays.

Amidst all the wank-talk (cheers Kenny) we didn't even get the chance to address some of the more (dare I say) rational aspects of LDS beliefs. For example, the Book of Mormon is one of the few significantly-circulated religious texts to explicitly endorse democracy.

But hey - let's forget that and just treat them all as crazy fundamentalists.

War between North and South Korea could break out at any moment, an ambassador from Pyongyang told the UN. He accused Seoul of instigating conflict and ‘increased hostilities’ towards Pyongyang.

Ri Tong-il, North Korea’s ambassador to the UN, said in an address that “no one knows when war will break out” between the two antagonistic nations.

i find that using heroin removes my desire for touching myself, but considering mormons think coffee is evil i doubt they would use heroin for such purposes... my sons dads mom was a mormon for a while. they do the jehovah door knocknig and hanging round high streets thing...the more i live the more i dislike organised religion

Haha, gotta be summat going on, my housemate's been going wild cos his copy of Halo 4 isn't here yet. Poor boy's been sat by the door every day since Monday, think he even skipped uni today just to wait for it.

Had a brilliant lecture today on sexuality and whatnot. One girl couldn't discern between having sexual urges and acting on them and monopolised the conversation with 'but children can't consent to paedophiles raping them'. Cool but that's not what we're talking about! And then we had fifteen minutes of them literally repeating the same question regarding what would be on the exam, with one even asking if we could use sources and citations in our essays.

So anyway now I'm getting drunk.

Yup. Obama would have been destroyed if the Republicans had not gone insane a couple of years ago and screwed around so much that the only person they could field was a braindead zombie.

Still pretty relieved Obama won. Very unlikely any meaningful reforms will happen but at least the Republicans aren't in to REALLY fuck shit up. And by that I mean rape the poor even further.

I've spent far too much money I don't have today on things I don't really need. I only went out to put a cheque in the bank and ended up the fancy over priced butchers buying more food than I'll be able to eat, then into Holland & Barretts buying over priced supplements, followed by loads more food in Tesco then into the fancy booze shop where I bought Peruvian beer.
