Ketamine. Can't find the euphoria.

Well today I have been dabbling with some very hq ketamine, IV, at ranging doses...

25mg, 50mg, 100mg.

All doses give in a round about way the same results.

Major time dissociation and a strong sense of confusion and bizarre thoughts. I prefer to do IV because of the short duration. 30 minutes and I'm back to sanity. I might write a report on it... Sometime. Does anybody have any advice to increase the euphoric qualities of ketamine? Or maybe with IV dosing there is no euphoria? Some input would be nice. I do feel really good right now tho, as if I have no reason to re-dose, or use any other substances.
 
Hmm, I prefer to not insufflate my ketamine. I really don't know how to get close to a k- hole. Anything more than 25mg feels like a very strong anesthetic, and I hole either way.
 
One of the best ways to intensify the euphoria of ketamine is to combine with mdma. It also enables you to hold bigger doses of K and therefore get an even more powerful trip IMO. Cocaine is also a surprisingly effect drug to combo with, especially if one is desiring a shorter duration.
 
Yeah good point on the weed idea. For me, any time i do K and i'm feeling a little bored, a smoke usually gets the whole exerience where it needs to go straight away.
 
Euphoria is just not something I feel on dissociatives. I enjoy them for other reasons - the weirdness, the feeling of being taken out of time, the sedated feeling at lower doses. That's just me though, I know others do feel euphoric on k and similar drugs.

Also, I've never injected anything so I've no idea what IM or IV ket would be like, but from what I've read it's very different.

EDIT: Agree with Swarm about MDMA - the one time I tried the combo the hole felt 'brighter' and happier. I only had a small dose of MDMA though, I imagine the euphoria would be much more pronounced with a proper dose.
 
What is your experience with IM'd k? i have never IV'd it, though i probably will in the future to try it out/save material, but i always found the come up of a 150-250 mg shot to be quite a euphoric experience, a sort of warm wave of disassociation, being in the midst of a hole of course can be quite unnerving/uneuphoric as you can't get grips on what is going on.

I feel much the same way, tend to see it far more in terms of psychological effects. In particular i find it allows me to be very self aware while making me stronger than usual so i can go over negative things i've done without getting down, like with meditation. Also, generally makes me reminisce about stuff. Possibly my favourite drug to be honest.
 
I plan on smoking some weed with my next dose. Usually I hole seconds after injection. I might try an IM shot instead of IV. I just don't know if I can handle that long of a hole.

Edit: I am use to opiate/amphetamine euphoria. So maybe I am just barking up the wrong tree.

if you can IV 100 mgs, i'm sure you could IM 100 mgs with very little problem. 100-150 mgs will certainly not completely send you to the hole and may give you the euphoria you are looking for.
 
In my experience, Ketamine is not in a general sense euphoric. It's by no means dysphoric, it's just not something that has an incredible overwhelming euphoric body load. In my experience, it's more of a head fuck and a couch locking kind of drug.

You know i've never actually tripped on DMT. I used to do mescaline regularly, by the idiot method (half a pint of vinegar san pedro sludge) so one time i bought the ingredients and brewed up my own ayahuasca. Unfortunately i never got anything past a tiny bit off baseline (think i didn't have enough of the MAOI maybe). I really need to get it together though as it really is an appalling gap on my drugs resume. Do you smoke it or go for the longer trip when you take it?

Agreed. I smoked about half a gram of weed, and IM'd 125mg. Still any euphoria I felt was overwhelmed by this lethargic head load and time dissociation. I think I have used all of the ketamine I'll ever want to in this lifetime. Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. If I didn't value my MDMA like gold, I would have tried a 50/50mg IV shot of MDMA/ketamine. Oh well, the dissociatives are just not my cup of tea. And my bladder is already thanking me.

I read a statistic a few years back that is quite consistent with personal experience that says people fall into one of three camps when it comes to dissociatives. 30% hate the experience and liken it to feeling ill, 30% think its alright but nothing to shout about, while the other third think its gods drug. Its probably mostly genetic why people fall in one camp or another. obviously this is all speculation but something interesting to think about none the less. Nice one on the thread btw - it was kinda fun discussing / commentating on the virtues of k while you were getting on it in real time.
 
Ketamine isn't euphoric for me, it's relaxing. About as close as it ever really got.
 
I've never found Ketamine to have ANY euphoric properties..

I've done it hundreds of times at all different doses.. from a small bump to the fattest K-hole inducing line..

Never has it been euphoric for me.. it seems to be a 50 / 50 thing between me and my friends.. half of us don't really like it.. the other half love it.

I have found MDMA and Ketamine, peaking on both to leave me in a state that rendered me emotionless. It would have been boring had I felt boredom. It does it every time with me. However coming down from MDMA now that is a different story!
Ketamine, I think does not produce chemically induced euphoria? And the euphoria is done by the user. Nice to think that (-=

If 25mg was a "strong" dose what you have is not ketamine. People are dicks and sell methoxetamine as K which might explain the reaction somewhat.
