Do you feel that your DOC makes you a better person?

Better than you are when not high on your DOC, its pretty self explanatory... Its up to the poster to define what they feel "better" is.

They aren't in the same category, although some could be considered part of multiple categories. There are stimulants, depressants, psychedelics, dissasociatives, etc.

by category, i meant drugs (downers, uppers) and psychedelics (and dissociatives) shouldnt even be regarded with the blanket term "drugs", or even associated with each other.

Interesting. Why do you feel they shouldn't be grouped together at least in the category of drugs. I mean they all seem like drugs to me, psychedelics included.

^I think you would find if you meditated properly that it is above anything a drug can hope to accomplish

I meditate regularly and gain a lot from it, but certain things LSD has really ampified and expanded upon greatly. Please don't look down on my comment, I wasn't trying to bash meditation.

Definitely, even though its obviously not a right thing to do. If only society wasnt so close-minded about drugs and so bitchy about addicts or paranoid of addicts I should say. Alot of people on opiates say they feel "normal" so I guess that answers alot about your question. And yea the drugs put that kind of thinking in your head but its not like if your robbing people, the drug is going to make you think your a good person lol atleast with opiates your still capable of making conscious decisions

@Hiltoniano, I think the categories of drugs like downers, uppers etc is necessary for this discussion because they have different effects and some greatly differ from each other in terms of what kind of thoughts you get while on them

maybe not a better person, my current doc is xanax and its rx (so is my methadone, but thats like ehh...if you know what i mean) but the xanax helps me be more sociable less anxious have the confidence i used to have before getting all strung out having years of homelesness and all the other shit ive been through "stunt" me for lack of a better word.

so better person? no. better functioning person>? yes.

Yes. My DOC (Zolpidem) brought me out of a state of serious depression and isolation. It induced many euphoric hazes that resulted in much self-analysis, something pot absolutely could never do for me despite being more common for this purpose.

No.

Most anyone that thinks their DOC makes them a better person probably has a slight sense of doubt in the back of their head they need to pay attention to.

This statement seems a bit odd coming from someone who has "I believe in using drugs to advance one's life. They are tools given to us in order to increase our natural capability." in their profile info.

LOL you got me.

But I don't use my DOC very often because it's, uh, corrosive to my life.

There was a time when I sincerely believed that meth made me a significantly more effective, sociable, and straightforward person. I was wrong.

Opioids are my new DOC, and (as some others in this thread have attested) to the extent that narcotics allow me to relax and enjoy myself, whether alone or with friends, they do indeed make me 'better' - whatever that really means.

No.

Weed encourages my overeating and laziness which I just cant afford to do anymore. Literally

I'm pretty funny and witty on heroin.

I'm a better fuck. I'm more light hearted. More fun to be around. More social.

For me heroin is like erasing all my little problems for a big heroin problem.

Given an unending supply and/or money.....then yes, it does. I don't have one DOC, rather a favorite combo. I use benzos to alleviate anxiety, opioids to give life a feeling of fullness and rosiness, and stimulants to get me moving. When I have all 3, I am in love with life and I feel like a better person.

Curious, what kinda dosages are you taking of all 3 of those drugs, adjusted for tolerance? And which type of each class are you taking ( for example : oxy, Xanax, meth). Just curious because I like mixing them but struggle to find the right amount and combo.
