^ fall is hot too!

You're not wrong, pip. Fall has been hot. But 80 feels so nice compared to 105 that I'm just happy it is finally below 90. Heat above 90 F and I'm one miserable individual. I'm looking forward to some clouds, and some RAIN. I have a thing about the rain. I love rain. I love it like nothing else I can think of. Rain is my favorite thing. I will walk in the rain, sit in the rain, oh and my special treat when it's raining is to sit in the jacuzzi. Hot water for my body, cool water for my face. That's the one true natural high that I experience... sitting in the jacuzzi with the rain coming down on my head and my shoulders. After five minutes I experience euphoria as soft and lovely as any euphoria from any drug at any dose. If it starts to rain here (weather report says it might) I will take my headache over to the pool area and get in the jacuzzi. Unless it's lightening. I love thunder and lightening but I don't sit in the spa and watch it.

We went to Ireland in 07 or 08, and it rained almost every day for the two weeks we were there. We went out sightseeing and all the stuff in the rain. People acted like we were crazy because we went out on the Dingle peninsula to see the beehive huts, the Jesus, and the old cemeteries, all in the pouring rain. We loved it though. GOD I love Ireland... so sad my foreparents had to leave in order to survive the famine. We would have loved to just stay there. Leaving Ireland broke my heart. We were on vacation but by the end of the two weeks we were completely in love with Ireland. Well, the west and the south of Ireland.

In this pic, we had left Dingle and were headed east. We stopped at Inch. There was a storm brewing and the ocean was roiling, with made Inch all the more magical to me. There is a beach there for summertime surfing and whatever. We went for Christmas and New Years, and Inch was not full of sunbathers. It was not full of anyone! We only stopped to enjoy the view. From there we drove on to Kinsale. Incredible beauty all over that little green island. <3

michael, thats the coolest pic of the moon ever. You must have a great camera. It looks like its close enough to reach up and touch!!

Trypno, thank you. I appreciate the compliment. I don't think of it as a beautiful picture... not compared to how beautiful the port is when taken in as a whole. Still, I'm glad my fellow darksiders like it. That makes me happy. =D

beautiful, wish i could of been there, but thanks for taking me that close, you.
:D
I need to get closer to you guys, fall gets really cold then warms up again, like the other night it was in the upper thirties, today it's seventy, the radio just said eighty by Wednesday 8) it's pretty much mother nature's way of saying 'enjoy it while you can, winter's about to be a bitch' :)

awesome!

That is an incredible pic Pastel. You done any post-processing on it or that just how it came out? Loving the colours and textures there and the shift in focus from reflection to soft, soft sky. I think I'm gonna have to revisit that at the weekend! ;)

i'm glad you like it. i have always been fascinated by the moon in general, and daylight moons most of all. i don't know that my camera is great but it sure does the job for me.

Sepher, I ran it through a high contrast filter then put a slight blur at the edge of the mirror. I'm glad you like it :)

My first car ever. She was sitting in the driveway when I came back from my six month anniversary celebration. It's on my dime but it was still a nice surprise :)

Michael, this is an old pastel painting of a daytime moon that I saw on my way back into town on the coast highway. I almost left it out of the painting because I thought it would look like a bad sun LOL.

And here is my annual tradition of posting a grade school stage set by my students (this time it is third grade art/Rainforest play). I think last year it was Tales of Beatrix Potter by the first grade. They always make me so happy when it all gets put up and becomes a magical little world and the kids feel so proud that they made the set themselves.

(laugh all you want at the matching socks--they made as happy as a six year old!)

Herbavore I LOVE those pictures! You look incredible!

Me too. Herb you look to be really enjoying yourself with it. Getting a little child-like a teensy bit with the excitement and fun of it too, were we? Hmmmmm? ;) Just been enjoying your Flickr set btw. Some really lovely stuff on there. Not nosed through any of it before. Lots of dogs being doggy, smiley looking people and and some arts! I like! :)

I was happy because I'd been given a withered flower:

Stripey girl is stripey! =D

Oh, yeah, Sepher, the kid in me will never die. (I attribute this to her getting a daily jolt when I brush my teeth in front of a mirror--I think that must be beneficial to her well-being and stamina.) I come from a long line of aging people that refuse to grow up as far as the usual definition goes, anyway; so maybe it's in the genes.

Pagey! speaking of LOOKING great! Wow!

Pastel--one of my big regrets is not saving my Dad's Monte Carlo after he died. It was a very old one but hardly any miles and kept in a garage every night so it was in great condition. I really wanted to give it to one of my boys but they weren't actually driving yet so one of my nieces took it and it is still going strong in Oregon. i love the pictures you've been doing in the mirror.

PiP, I am an admitted siameseaphile and I now have that song permanently stuck in my head. I LOVE that song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92PDgLHAFCw

Haven't spun records in over a year and haven't played out in 4. Fucking rinsed it tonight :D. I'm gonna start djing out again. I'm clean healthy and around a lot of like minded musicians. Life is decent and worth living today and I feel damn good lol. We were mixing on the kitchen counter bwahaha
