Cornish, what's the deal with you and college? I caught some mention of it in Gibberings but I've been away so I'm not up to speed with everything.
 
Cornish :( Cornwall's great but I think maybe you're too creative & interesting for a small town. But then much trouble can be got up to in a big city. College would be good if it's an option? If I'm down your way will you invite me to play frisbee on the beach with the wind in our hair? I'll bring the weed :)
 
That's OK y'know, can you wriggle back in? There's blowing it and blowing it, and you might be seeing one when in fact it's the other (I'm talking like a fortune cookie).
 
it's not too late to go to the college, find your course tutor (you were accepted onto a course iirc) and explain THE TRUTH. Being that you haven't studied for years, you find big groups of new people inimidating etc, and so you just bottled it, then the next day you feared the repercussions of not turning up, and this compounded every day...

your tutor will want you on the course, they know you are capable of doing the course, and the college gets funduing for students enrolled, attaining students, and students attendance figures.

Don't make up some bulshit about a dying relative, your tutor will know tis is a lie, and even though they'll STILL want and let you back on the course, you'll never have a good relationship as you'll both know about the big bullshit at the start, and deep-down, you know that your tutor will be well aware of the truth.

Tutors/profs see/hear all kinds of shit, I know mind did, from me. Nobody's going to judge you for it.
 
Its not too late, they might have places to fil still, term's just starting.

It could give you a new lease of life.

And maybe a student loan :sus: Access course.? they still going?
 
You got till October to sign up, they get paid loads of dosh for every student that enrolls/fills in bits of papers so of course they will want you there.
 
Think of the benefits Cornish, loads of young student fanny around, student loans and bursaries, no need to stress about the dole not giving you any money, loads of partying to be done, access to bucketfuls of drugs and you might even learn something but let's just focus on the important stuff. ;)

Man up and get to fucking college.
 
I was about to say something slightly similar, ie that there will be GIRLS and FUN there and NEW PEEPS who might not all be DICKS. I would have finished with 'where's yer pirate spirit' instead of 'man up' though, because I don't like that phrase.
 
If I could start back at college or uni tomorrow I would. One of the best times of my life, same for everyone I know too. Go Cornish!
 
I don't know about financial benefits as it's been a long time since I last studied; I was one of the last students to get free university tuition.
HOWEVER: It will do so much else for you, all the benefits mentioned above plus probably a huge boost to your self-esteem. Even if it doesn't work out it's something interesting to do now that the weather's packing in and your sports disc will have to go back on its hook for the winter!
 
Plus instead of it being a problem that you're getting out your tits on booze and drugs on a Monday or Tuesday night it becomes perfectly acceptable as "that's what students do". :D
 
Ex and "Best Friend" have got together without any consultation (knowing my "best mate", he would have asked me about it)....
Wish I had a fucking fuck load of drugs right now.
 
Argh Monsta, that's a gutpunch, I'm sorry. I know a few people that's happened to, it's not pretty. I don't quite get what you mean by the bracketed part though?
 
I thought I'd known him for long enough that I assumed he'd talk to me about his intentions before going for anything.
