Absolutely. I actually have crossed that threshold twice in my life (It gives me no pleasure to admit) and the first time was one of the most tranquil things I've ever experienced... but certainly not prolific enough to warrant giving my life over for that momentary lapse of reason.

Yes; it was a terrifyingly mystical experience that I also would not repeat! Glad to have had the experience... but once was enough.

Yes! I have struggled with addiction for over a decade and have at one point mixed in excess of... well, it doesn't matter. It's an awful feeling, left desiring even more

Thankfully, never. However, I have treated many such a person in my field - mental health. It's devastating to see, and difficult to treat.

im sure OP can one up my stories, but i am certainly that 1% special kind of person who could keep up with OP's use (at least in my drug prime)
and im not perfect, or even alright by most peoples standards, but i have taken huge steps in the right direction in the last few months, and it all stemmed from learning how to love (and what love really is) starting with myself.

btw, while im a new poster ive been reading tds for support for a while now, and i find the love here (between people who have never even met) to be so much more real than what alot of people mean when they say 'i love you'
