Those are in fact identical to my own Scarpa hiking boots! :D Forgot mine were Scarpas. I was rubbing the dubbin into them the other day.

Hahahaa, that's a brilliant shout Brimz. Particularly the jacket & the gutties. Used to spot those cunts a mile-away when we were about 14 getting a cargo down the park. Plank the booze rapid, then sit there waiting on them "Evening officers!!!" hahaaha. Daft cunts.

Surely they're more clued up nowadays? I mean, we were wee guys & we could always tell yet they seemed so surprised that we'd saw straight through their "disguise".

Oh, they've stepped up their efforts, at least in Manchester. To the extent where some of them almost blend in to the kind of mainstream street-casual look.

The latest 'genius' tactic is that they'll send black officers out as well because nobody would ever suspect that, right?

You can imagine how well this worked when four blokes who look like they belong to one of the slightly 'edgier' early-noughties boy bands descend the stairs at an underground alt-rock-hipster type gig. Suddenly all eyes are on them and they have no idea why.

Fucking hilarious.

I'm surprised I never either, never thought about it coz the guy posts vids of him poking his bum with drugs, so he's clearly not a copper (unless that's a new tactic).

When I was much younger we used to play spot the copper when out walking about at night, if we weren't doing anything dodgy. Always two guys, always in those jackets, always in kind of hill-walking style trainers (obviously coz they're out trekking about all night). The amount of times I've been pulled over, harassed to fuck & searched (obv. had nothing on me) for pointing & shouting "POLIS!" at them hahaha. They don't like that.

Or when they casually stroll in the pub you'll hear a wee shout come up from someone, half laughing "Ho ho, erra polis" (translation: there is the police)

Knock - You must have a hard time in the pub etc. So many folk that would maybe offer you a cheeky line, or twos on a spliff etc will be straight out the door when they see you coming lol.

Hahaha.

The thing with the knock-wear is that the cunts I know of who've joined the polis probably do dress like that when they're off duty, so they think it's normal "casual wear". You can spot an off-duty copper quite easily as well.
