Hey guys! long time lurker but had this thought the other day when tripping on lsd and wanted to share somewhere, here seemed ideal!

Have u ever thought maybe we're here just to experince exsistance. Like if u made sim city it is so much sweeter when there are ppl there to interact with it... we were the lucky few who were able to watch the unvierse unfold and the way we interact with it will decide what will happen in the next stage of ur exsistenace?

Why are we here? Perhaps 'here' is the only possible place to be. Why are we here? Why do you assume we are here for a reason? If there were a reason, suppose we willfully changed that reason. Suppose there was no reason, could we not still willfully impose one? Are we or are we not free? I'm reminded of a quote: "The question isn't who is going to let me, but rather who is going to stop me?"

I don't know what the Universe's plan was for me, but I see my role on the planet is to make kids laugh, make young girls squeal, make old women blush and old men shake their fist.

My mother just shakes her head :(

Because I believe everything happens for a reason... I think we r free to do what we please within our limitatins n understandings. Reasons have willingly n unwillingly been imposed for many years.. My question to u is there a set reason for everyone? Or does one have to find their own?

W regards to the who's gonna stop u... Busty there's not many reasons y ill call cops on u but if u carry on making lil girls squeal n making kids laff I'll put down this fist I'm shakin n bust ur ass!! ( I no I jest of course...)

what really bothers me is why existence rather than non existence. If there is a God, why is there something rather than nothing? like what could possibly motivate something to make anything or why does anything exist at all, what reason could there be for this.
This idea just completely confuses me.

I think the answer just surpasses human understanding right now because i always think of things as either existing or not existing but really has there ever been anything that didn't exist? was there ever nothing? Philosophers (Aquinas) would argue that for something to exist, there must have never been nothing ie: the universe (or something, like God) has always existed. As only nothing can come from nothing. If that is the case then the reason humans and this life exist could be for God to experience itself in many different small ways (human life) and the limits imposed on this life are what makes it beautiful, worthwhile and meaningful.

if there is no God and there is this universe and it randomly exploded and somehow life formed by chance. Then why does any of it exist rather than nothing? Who or what made the particles that make up the universe? and why? I can't even imagine nothing ever existing, it just blows my mind.

i believe we are here "just to exist" because our mothers popped us out unceremoniously into a fucked up world. i also believe how we experience it is up to us, so it isn't entirely hopeless. just kind of hopeless about the other people and how they play into it. got to try to find your way to enjoy existence. have it mean something for you. that's about it.

I think we're here to question why we're here and how we interpret the silent response is how we decide what direction to steer our lives toward.

To do as thou will.

Reality is by nature at its most fundamental level completely paradoxical; there is no answer because there is no question.

It's the greatest joke ever played on yourself, believing that there is a point or meaning to existence beyond your own ability to imagine it.

:D

Were here because our pappy's busted a nut.

As far as what to do with our lives, there is no "point". I rationalize my existence as a novelty device. I see things in new ways, i do things in new ways, i complexify, i create where there was not. We are just a scaled version of the universe, an evolutionary tool operating in a system of scales we cannot imagine or perceive. That's whats been happening for a long time, i can see it in the cosmos, i can see it in terra, i can see it in others and all living organism's, most importantly i can see it in myself.

We are here for no reason. Life is pointless and there is nothing but being 6 feet deep while decomposing and while maggots eat away what left of your body.

To get as fucked up and totally wrecked the first half of our life, then meet someone who thinks they can fix us and make us a normal well adjusted/functioning human being...untill they realise their wasting their time and were a lost cause and they find out they are just as fucked up as them and move on :P
