Benzos Etizolam or Xanax to sleep

I'd say Etizolam would be better since (as far as I know) it has more hypnotic properties than Alprazolam, which is almost entirely an anxiolytic benzodiazepine
 
personally i dont think Etizolam is good for sleep..others will disagree but i can take 2 mgs of etizolam and feel very sleepy but wont be able to sleep..if i do fall asleep it will be very choppy..
 
I prefer etizolam for sleep. Although alprazolam will put me out very quickly, I always feel groggy the next day, whereas I usually feel quite refreshed after a nice 7-8 hour Etisleep.
 
there is no fucking way alprazolam and etizolam are equipotent. while i'd wouldn't exactly say that alprazolam is twice as strong it is notably more potent than etizolam.
benzodiazepines are crap for sleep in my opinion anyway, but if you're gonna take one for this indication stick to tried and true hypnotics like temazepam.

I agree, whenever you take a 'good amount' of etiz (2mg-5mgs) b4 bed you will end up get a "choppy" sleep like belfort said.. Kinda like you'll pass out in weird positions and wake up then pass back out again and so on... usually u dont get a good sleep... best thing to do to avoid this is to take the etiz or xanax right b4 you climb into bed to go to sleep. then u should get a good sleep. its when u stay awake while on the tiz or zanX that you have a bad sleep.
