Getting to sleep post MDMA/pills WITHOUT benzos

I'm considering taking someone clubbing in the next month or so, but concerned about her getting to sleep post MDMA.

Unfortunately she had a massive addiction to valium (diazepam) previously which she has now kicked so no valium. As we'll probably be drinking post MDMA/clubbing then sleeping tablets are out of the question too. She doesn't smoke weed either.

What else can she use to knock herself out and stay asleep?

If she wasn't drinking I'd say Zolpidem, but she is.

How about codeine? As long as she's never had an opiate problem that should be fine right? 60mg of codeine would probably help her sleep after MD.

Edit: I have no idea about interactions between opiates and alcohol

If you're just taking MDMA and alcohol she should be fine sleeping after, the combo did the opposite and knocked me out infact.

i can understand if your drinkin a shit ton but i dont see a whole lot of trouble with a few dyphenhydramine after a few drinks

obviously in the name of harm reduction is is suggested that you dont drink with certain sleeping pills but i have never had a problem with some dph n alcohol, but i understand if you'd rather not go that route but im js

also opiates always had the opposite effect on me, even heroin made it difficult to sleep, sure i would nod in n out but that isnt sleepin really n i usually couldnt actually go to sleep until opes had worn off, just my opinion tho

usually i have no problem with sleeping after rolling, but i make sure i dance till i pass out.

i would be careful with diphenhydramine, its very dehydrating, it acts as an SSRI and may end up keeping you awake. maybe check out those relaxation drinks at some stores, a "natural" downer cocktail. has GABA, valerian root, a little 5-HTP, etc...

otherwise i would really suggest zolpidem minus the alcohol. its one of the only hypnotics that doesnt interfere with REM sleep

Real MDMA should not be that stimulating that you cant sleep after you come down! It can be super relaxing (too much at times) - but I find that after clubbing Im often wired anyway (regardless of the drug) and enjoy a few hours awake anyway (just enjoying the glow). If however you must force the issue of sleep then sex, alcohol, downers, meditation, chill out music etc can all help.

If your going down the drug route for comedowns and want to avoid the entire 'pam' family then what about grass / ketamine? May I ask why your concerned about her sleeping? If she is willing to take MDMA then she should know how she feels 'post party' - ask her now what she normally does. What do you normally do? She may enjoy sitting wide awake watching the sun come up and would consider going to sleep almost an insult! (to quote someone special to me - snoozers are losers and sleepers are cheaters :D).

I personally have never experienced a problem with anyone having a few beers / drinks after clubbing!

She's had a opiate issue in the past, so no codeine.

She has plenty of raving experience, she's well aware she needs something to knock her out.

Alcohol works, but it doesn't keep you asleep. It's the staying asleep thing that is the issue.

Ketamine - well few people took it last month I know and they just sat up, ended up doing benzos in the end to go to sleep.

Red wine, lavender oil rubbed on the chest or on the pillow, Motrin PM. Thats my non prescription recipe.

you should be able to sleep easily after clean MDMA...

much as i hate to say it more piss, as mentioned above red wine or gin.

sweet dreams ;)

I'd say maybe some cannabis.

But then again, just because you take mdma, why use cannabis if you dont already lol
Cannabis is only thing that works for me though, i dont think taking downers after being on mdma such as valium is a good idea for anyone really, you think how fast the heart has been beating on mdma then you slow it down loads with a benzo, you might not wake up again if you make this a habit! I used to take both and i wish i never did now.

I wonder if melatonin drops/capsules would help.

i too agree ganja would be the safest / most benign...i mean its never killed anyone has it?

OP did say she doesn't smoke but you can all ways just eat the stuff...either cook up some brownies or butter or even better would be hash oil!!!

I suggest a few things. The first is to simply ride out the experience to baseline and sleep when it comes natural. This obviously requires certain freedoms on the following day. I a benzo tolerance is present (as you stated it was) I suggest something more simply. A "PM" cough syrup with doxylamine succinate or chlorpheniramine maleate assist in falling asleep.

The mind is a powerful tool. Ambient music, a flat & comfortable location combined with calm breathing can bring a person quickly to baseline & then sleep.
