Surprisingly, the other thread reached 1,000 replies. Not sure why this thread is so popular... guess Bluelighters are a catty bunch. lol

Anyway, here's the original post, which I think introduces the thread perfectly:

You have permission to be a straight hater in this thread. And also please don't get easily offended.

A short definition of drug subcultures:
Drug subcultures are examples of countercultures, primarily defined by recreational drug use.

Drug subcultures are groups of people united by a common understanding of the meaning and value (good or otherwise) of the incorporation into life of the drug in question. Such unity can take many forms, from friends who take the drug together, possibly obeying certain rules of etiquette, to full-scale political movements for the reform of drug laws. The sum of these parts can be considered an individual drug's "culture".

There are multiple drug subcultures based on the use of different drugs — the culture surrounding cannabis, for example, is very different from that of heroin, due to the different sort of experiences, sentiment amongst the crowd attracted to the drug in question, as well as the problems the users encounter

Which do you like the least and have the lowest opinion of?

All right, so have at it! lol

EDIT: And the old thread you can find here: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/473698-What-drug-subcultures-do-you-least-like

people who smoke weed in groups and act like general assholes to each other.

this is the one thing that really pissed me off when i was a teenager. maybe it was just the group of people i hung around with.

anyway basically when we got together in a group people would actually try to make people whitey, pressure them into having buckets etc

i was never one of these people it has to be said but i was in attendance. it was about getting people stoned and basically taking the piss out of them. well isnt the idea to get stoned you fucking muppets? but yeah im annoyed that i associated with these sorts of people who really ruined weed at times. the thing is, for the most part, these people were a good laugh outside of the stoning sessions. it was only a few in the group that acted like idiots.

sometimes when i was my turn to roll a spliff i would totally topend the joint and of course i blazed up first and passed it to who i liked the most.

im sure people will know what i mean.

as i got older i started hanging around with adults (mentally as well as by age) who would appreciate weed for what it is, and have good times.

drinking culture is annoying - the whole lets blow half our wages on a "wild" night out that we will all barely remember any of and feel like shit the whole of the next day - thing.

also something that annoyed me as a student was people sneaking off to do coke at house parties. I didn't even take coke at the time and the secretiveness was annoying. how hard is it to say no when someone asks for a line and you don't want to give them one anyway? its not a big deal unless maybe you're best mates or something.

I hear coke is overrated and not worth the money so I've never tried it. I try to avoid drugs that cause shadiness though one could argue that all drugs cause shadiness.

Alcoholics and people abusing uppers. Drunks are loud, annoying, and often cant manage their own bodily functions (clumsy, spilling shit, vomit, pissing all over, over emotional) and people abusing uppers never shut up, always on edge, paranoid, and have strange tics and habits (picking their skin, searching for crums, etc) and they disturb my nod by not being calm and always moving. Plus if i fall asleep theyll steal my shit!

Psychedelic users who babble about complete bullshit and argue when i.e. I try to tell them that it is self evident that there are exactly 3 spatial dimensions in reality, and that the implications of there not being can be easily explored (i.e. a 2 dimensional world would look like a drawing on a piece of paper, 4,5,6,etc get very strange and geometry on higher dimensional manifolds is radically different and does not correspond to reality) and other tripe. Oh, and of course telling me they're pacifists and abhor violence and think we should all share everything, yet getting upset when I take a beer from the fridge and take a swing at me if I hit on their on girlfriend(What happened to the non-violence and sharing!?)

(What happened to the non-violence and sharing!?)

hahaha , very good!

I am not a fan of alcoholics and people who use the very newest legal high with so much gusto its as if they knew what the hell it could do to you.

Drunk people who can't handle their alcohol... You know, the types who act like complete morons after a few drinks, or even worse, the ones who start arguing and randomly picking fights with people. The latter is the reason why I stopped going to bars and clubs on Friday and Saturday nights - I'm there for a good time, not to watch alcohol-fueled idiots fighting in the street. Also not a big fan of the hippie/spiritual types who use psychedelics to reach a "high plane", or whatever they call it.

I think it's because it's one of the few places out of the lounge that people can be hateful lol...

Mines gotta be the rave scene: While I enjoy (or enjoyed) the fuck out of MDMA and lights and all that...I just can't stand the fakeness of the scene...You got about a tenth of the crowd enjoying the place for what it is, while the rest of it are either doing drugs just to piss off their mommies and daddies, doing it to be edgy and cool, or not even raving and are just getting drunk and are there solely to con bitches into sleeping with them because they're all over anyone they come into contact with...

gonna get some hate for that one lol...

i dislike the users who do not care to know what it is they are using, as long as they are using.

^ This. One reason I stopped using "ecstasy" is because it's getting harder to know what chemicals are in it.

I miss the days when ecstasy was MDMA. :(

I don't hate anyone, but I greatly dislike the culture of alcohol abuse. It's cool if you have a couple of drinks to loosen up, or with your meal, but when people get shitfaced so they can brag and then start fights or need people to take care of them, that really pisses me off.

The only people I ever got into physical fights with were drunks. The only people who cause disruptions, crazy awkwardness and general chaos while out in public, are drunks. At least meth heads and crack addicts steal on the downlow. Drunks have zero finnesse. And the smell... ugh.

Seeing drunks act as they do while knowing that I could go to jail for possessing something that I use to trip at home in private, or if I have pot on me, just makes my blood boil.

As much as I like opiates, the opiate scene can be pretty damn lonely and ruthless. When you're a pothead, a psychonaut, or a molly enthusiast, there is always a sense of trust between users and a informal decorum, but fuck, when it comes to opiates there are no rules, no niceties, no "hey man I gave you some, can you please spot me a little?". None of that shit.

^I agree about the lonely part. When I was still a fulltime oxy user it was all about "having my pills" for me. When I knew I had my fix I would hardly (if at all) bother maintaining contact with friends and family. It was just all about having enough fucking pills. If I didn't have my oxy (and benzos) or even when I was going to run out soonish my life would be paused until I got a refill. It was fucking terrible.

I really don't know any hardcore opiate addicts (except for myself a while back) so I don't have experience with their actual behaviour among users. I got all my opioids/benzos prescribed, which made my habit affordable and maintainable without ever running out. Therefore I can honestly say I never did anything "wrong" to get my hands on more opiates. I also didn't know any other opiate users, but I don't think I'd have screwed any of them over since I was prescribed more than enough to support my habit. I'm glad for that, but then again I can't imagine I'd ever screw a friend over for some drugs.

Other than the opiate scene, I don't really have much of an opinion on this subject as I've met addicts from nearly every scene and there's much diversity despite their DOC being the same. I guess I don't like elitist subcultures, where people think they're doing better, or are being more classy because their DOC is cocaine and not "dirty" and cheap amphetamines. The coke and amps is just an example, thought of it because I know cokeheads who are like that. Though I know many other coke lovers who don't show any of that "elitist" behaviour at all. So again, it's hard to form an opinion.
