My name is sara, I'm 22 years old and I'm from ole stanky Arkansas. I just thought before I made the thread that regards what my concerns are it would be best to introduce myself because I might and hopefully will get some responses regarding what my post will be about. I have some health issues which require me to be on a bunch of meds so that's what it'll contain

before my health issues came up I had my fun,so I'm not going to go down that route and waste time talking about that.

I have looked over this forum for YEARS so I don't know why it took me so long to actually make an account and make this first post and it has been such a helpful tool so hell yeah!

anyhow... just thought, i'd drop in and say hi, before I pass out, I'll try and not pass out and make that post before I do, if not I'll do it, much appreciated. Have a good night!
 
all of the posts regarding the fentanyl patches are about abusing them. since in my past i did have my fun with opiates i have chronic pain and am prescribed them... i just need to know how long it takes for them to be absorbed and to work. is it by the time you have to put the 2nd patch on?

and again i appreciate what you've said but i am not trying to extract them. i am trying to use them correctly for my chronic pain. before i posted this thread i already looked there, i always hunt because i'd rather do that than make myself look like an idiot..

maybe i missed something?

I'm not sure anyone was trying to suggest that you were looking to do anything other than use them correctly, but your question might receive more attention in the Other Drugs forum, period. That said, I did a bit of research on Google and read here of a report where someone spoke to a nurse who said that it could take up to a week, and another warning not to put the patch on upside-down. There are more user posts there concerning this issue, so I'd check it out if I were you. Other than that, I imagine that speaking with the doctor who prescribed it would really be your best bet. Considering that this seems to be an issue of a prescription medication not working properly it really shouldn't be an issue to call and ask.

I used to get them and if my memory is correct about 6-8 hours the drug is getting into you system pretty good and they last 72 hours for sure. (at least they are supposed to)
 
I apologize, I knew it wasn't a good idea asking the question in the introduction thread. I stated it but went ahead and did it anyway, so my bad.

I found out that it also depends with your pain tolerance, how severe your pain is, so hopefully it will be by at least the end of the 2nd (which i just put on yesterday) or by the end of the 3rd or beg of 4th patch. Because the information I found online, a lot of it was misleading and not in relation, and it was with use, which def. was helpful. but thanks! And I read that link you posted up there, and i'll start postin in the pain management thread from now on.

my apologies again.

I will now no longer speak another word of it in this thread, thanks for all of y'alls help with my questions and directing me. :)
 
welcome sara! i've messed with the fentanyl lolli's which are incredible but the patch must be out of this world! definitely going to be on the lookout for some of those. have you ever tried opana (oxymorphone) in my opinion the strongest opiate. just imho. any others feedback on this?
