Is it hard to roll in your opinion?

I have very unsteady hands and I smoke way more than any of my other friends, so it sucks that I'm stuck smoking out of a bowl or a bong when I can be lighting up a nice long-lasting blunt.
Any helpful tips for a starter?

A king size paper roller and get yourself some king size papers, bam you got basically blunts that aren't near as harsh as regular blunts and are perfectly rolled. I also find it hard to roll things and i even have very steady hands, even with steady hands im a worthless roller, i need more practice i prefer bowls anyway i get higher of smaller amounts.

use a tray or some other decent sized flat surface that you can use to roll against. also, look at videos on youtube. practice makes perfect.

What I was going to come in here to say.

Practice :) And try Ez Wider double wides at first.

Practice, practice, practice. Get somebody to show you the ropes until you can roll a smokeable blunt on your own. Once you get to this point, refine your technique (just practice rolling up with blunt guts if you're worried about wasting weed). Try different ways of getting your blunt tighter, learn what consistency of ground up weed you roll best with, discover if it's easier for you to roll with or without using a flat surface, find your favorite brand of cigars for rolling purposes...

I've got tremors like a motherfucker that run through my hands, to the point that I thought I had Parkinson's when I first heard about the disease (thanks, McFly), but I can roll with the best of 'em-- it just takes me a little more time. I almost exclusively roll Dutchmasters and tend to table roll and pearl (remove outer leaf, set to side, table roll Dutch like normal, fit crutch/filter/roach into the end I'll be inhaling from, table roll the outer leaf back onto Dutch). I take pride in my Dutch's, and definitely enjoy the compliments I receive every now and again because of them.

If it's joints that you have trouble with, though, then I don't have much to offer. I started out rolling with paper, and just transferred those skills over to rolling blunts... It might be in your best interested to get a rolling "machine" and observe the hell out of how it rolls your joints, and then try to reconstruct the process using your hands.

Rolling is easy, I bet I could do it whilst riding a bike, blindfolded.

blunts are overrated...like drinking an expensive wine out of a dirty glass.....nothing is wrong with using pieces only...rolling to me is a social thing, i hardly if ever roll joints or blunts for myself, mainly because yea it sucks unless you do it all the time....

The advice here is good, but if you're young and have to smoke outside/undercover I would suggest rolling your weed up until you can smoke in privacy and/or safety with any kind of piece.

It's been said so many times that this is practically cliche` now, but it's a lot harder to ditch a glass bong than it is a joint or a blunt.

In terms of efficiency, though? Yeah, blunts and joints are not the route you want to take if you're interested in conserving every single psychoactive goody in cannabis. That said, I'd prefer a decently rolled Dutch over most bongs any day... a little handheld bubbler, though? That's the only kind of piece that beats blunts for me. It's a shame they're so fucking conspicuous. :\

rolling is pretty hard at first, trust me.
mine would come out looking all deformed & loose, filter would always mess up.

today I can roll properly, & i do it like once a week.
when i first started i would just practice rolling. i got it after 50 times lol

learning to roll is pretty rewarding in itself

watch youtube videos/read peoples descriptions of how they roll

if you love weed enough you will persevere through all those shitty joints

All i was gonna say is practice practice pracitce!

but everyone beat me to it so uhh, yeah.

I cant roll, never could, and now that arthritis plagues my hands i cant do much of any hand movement anymore.

if your smoking high grade shit, dont roll anything. youll end up wasting about 1/6 to 1/4 of your bud unless you just hit it constantly, which means you cant hold hits, and you will still lose a little anyway. IMO, the only time to roll is if your planning to drive and smoke (ever try driving a stick and hitting a bowl at the same time? its hard...). otherwise, your just wasting some of the bud. i have rolled before, but not often. it took me an hour the first time i rolled a joint, and it was pretty crappy, but i taught myself. with a teacher it might be easier. and glass is kinda overrated as well IMO... it can be fairly expensive. just go to home depot, find the pipes, and make a nice little personal bowl. i did it for around $7 with all brass pieces plus a screen. the thing is small, easily assembled, has plenty of room to pack up to around .5g, and it hits REALLY well. and, it fits in my pocket easily when its assembled. cant beat that.

it's easy dude just watch a couple videos and buy a 4 pack of blunts. practice and by the time you rolled up all 4 blunts you should be good. i learned by watching my friends roll them so many times and i just tried it one time and it was great. it's not hard at all

with blunts, i find game dutches roll better than dutchmaster brand.
with joints, zig-zags roll and burn easier than hemp rolling paper, but the hemp papers are a lot nicer on your tongue and lungs if you can get good with them

anyone can roll a blunt. a well rolled joint is like bangin a reallly hot ass chick.. you know a few people that can do it, but the average joe will go their whole lives without.

yeh practice makes pretty...i couldnt even spell my own name when i was younger...and it took me ages to learn how to tie my shoe laces...

why dont you ask mum or dad to help you out?

I needed a pen at first, and then for a while it was only hard in a car or low light - now rolling joints of various shapes and sizes is like brushing my teeth. People say it's harder to roll pinners than fatties, however at this point I can roll up a roach with .1 if need be.
