Opioids First time trying poppy tea

Hi! I'm new here, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place or anything. :)

I made some poppy tea, using just one crushed up pod, the seeds from the pod, and an 100g bag of store-bought seeds. I did it by putting all the stuff in a bottle, pouring in 1-2 cups of warm water, shaking for 15 mins, straining through a sock, and repeating. Made about a cup and a half. I have a very low tolerance - I smoke weed very often but haven't done anything other than that. So far I'm feeling pretty great, kind of similar to being stoned but different, it's hard to explain... like, I can't feel my legs until I move them, but in a good way. =D Stomach feels a little funny, but I've heard that's common since it's acidic. So my question is, what should I expect? It's been about an hour since I had the tea, and I didn't mix it with anything. How long does the high last? And how much pod/seeds would you recommend using if I do it again?

I think I'm going to go draw or something, my eyes feel all fuzzy and comfy. So thank you in advance if anyone replies, it's very much appreciated! =D

the high will last forever if it's your first time. For me it used to last 16-20 hours, now i will be in withdrawal after 12 hours, so it lasts quite long. The experience will peak after 3-4 hours and you'll just feel relaxed, sleepy for the rest of the day/night. It's not psychedelic like cannabis is, basically will just make you feel good and relaxed. I'd use the same amount next time if this works out well for you.

Poppy tea is absolutely awesome...just try not to make a habit out of it. I remember when you could get pods on ebay...:\ <sigh> Guess those were the days...

I don't use it often either. But I had such a headache last night that got worse in the morning. I made me a big cuppa and feel so much better. It works as an analgesic for me.

If an hour has passed, IME it is basically at it's peak, do not expect to get higher later on. Mine usually kicks in, in about 15min and peaks in 30 min. It is not as intense as the oxys or heroins, but the high is long, pleasantly euphoric and just makes you feel content...

Thanks for the replies everyone, it's been a lovely high! Must have peaked at about an hour, but I smoked a joint 2-3 hours after and I still hadn't come down at all. The joint got me way more stoned than it would have done too, I haven't been that stoned in a while and I wasn't even smoking good stuff! I thought the poppy high was fading as I came down from the joint, but obviously not much as I was still feeling it quite a bit when I woke up, and still am now, about 17 hours later =D Definitely planning on trying it again, although I'll be careful not to make it a habit :)

One more question - I was telling my mum about what a lovely high it is, and she'd like to try some too. She takes Citalopram (Celexa?) but she's a bit worried about the acidity in the tea, does anyone know if it's safe to drink the tea while on Citalopram?

I'm thinking if we do make it, I'll up it to 300g of store-bought seeds, since we won't have any pods this time and it'll be split between us - does this sound like a good amount (as in, enough to get a good high without being in any danger)?

Thanks again for all the help! :)

i wish my tolerance allowed shit like this to work on me so lucky

Do what you gotta do to get your tolerance down.

When I get to the point where a line of 120mg of Oxy ain't doing it for me, it's time to stop. Detox with Kratom/Subs/Tramadol w/e and then I stick with high strength Kratom tea for a few weeks. By the 2nd/3rd week I'm actually able to get pretty stoned from the tea as my tolerance fades. At this point, pod tea would do you well too.

I understand where you're coming from but unless you put the effort into not letting your tolerance destroy you, well, it'll do exactly that; make opiates/oids almost not even worth it.

no interactions with citalopram. 300g between two people should be about right but remember seeds vary so much in potency, always best to start small with a new batch. I'd get like 600g of seeds and test 150g yourself and then figure out how much would work for the both of you.

Okay, thanks a lot! Last thing, I swear - by 'no interactions with citalopram', do you mean that the poppy tea won't do any harm while taking the Citalopram? =D
