Opioids Took 1 Five Mg Perc. How Long Till I Can Take Suboxone?

Hey everyone.

I am not new to opiates in any way, I use to be a big time abuse, doing heroin in the end of it, but I have been clean for a good while now and don't even think to do it.

So I have a big tolerence for that stuff, and I am on suboxone too... which I have been weening off of, I was on about 4mg+ for months.. I really had no idea since I just took more when I felt I needed more. (I crushed n sniffed it because more bioavaliablity, I use less that way, don't have to taste the orange, and its the ex-druggie in me still ) Now i am on 2mg :D hoping to be off soon.


ANYWAYS, I have been having terrible toochaches lately, and then starting the other night, I have been having this INCREDIBLY sharp pain in one my teeth, and it kept me up that I had to take asprin and stuff and hopfully it would go away, and it did for a little and it comes back, normally if it was like any of the other times when I would just get something stuck in the tooth it would last for less than an hour. This is bad where I used up an entire thing of Orajel last night within hours lol.

I got home and my parents know about it and I was tellin my mom and she said if I wanted a Percocet for it cause she had them for something. I said.. i dont know if its a good idea. Then she didn't really hear me, brought one back, and me jus thiinking how I've taken 180+ within a few hours before and i didnt even nod out, started thinkin it would be a bad idea because it might not do anything and then I might possibly put myself in precipitated withdrawal. But I decided to take it, hopfully helpin the pain.

My question is simple, I know with other things in the past I did.. Heroin and A LOT of oxycodone, I had to wait over 24 hours, but FIVE mg does not seem like I would need to wait nearly as long to take my Suboxone again.

Really? Even if it was only five mg?

I thought it all depended on A. What opiate drug it was and B. How much you took

Since you know, doing a like a Brick of heroin would take much longer to removed from all of your opiate receptors and longer until it would be out of your system.. like a drug test, the more you do and longer, the longer it takes for it to be negative.

24-48 hours just seems like rediculous for only that little amount to leave the receptors... but I wont argue and not believe you since that is why I came here to ask in the first place.

Also, I have had to deal with this numerous times in the past and was told that depending on the amount and depending on how long it has been, if you take enough suboxone to override the opiates there, it will essentialily over take them and fill the receptors .

Let's say oxycodone's half life is an even 5 hours.

T+0 = 5mg
T+5 = 2.5mg
T+10 = 1.25mg
T+15 = 0.75mg
T+20 = 0.275mg
T+25 = 0.1375mg

So even after a full day, you still have trace amounts of oxycodone on your receptors.

Are you a suboxone user / dependent or like opiate addict that is dependent ? Because there are people that can easily not going into precipitated withdrawl as long as they are physically depenendant.

If so, then nice.. but I can't wait just 6 hours.. well its almost been 24ish.. about 4+ more hours. But, I will be drunk n high n what not tonight, weed... so i wont notice it even if W/D kicked in, even if when i feel asleep, so i will feel safe enough to take it in the morning.


Definitenly not taking any opiates again unless its a lot, not worth the wait for nothing at all.
