Ecstasy Drug Trial - Finally some new information for MDMA on the way.

Read this.

The programme will air on the 26th at 10PM, channel 4 in the UK.

I was worried that they were only going to study the therapeutic effects of the drug, but according to the Channel 4 website:
"The programme also looks at the potential side-effects and dangers of taking MDMA and includes a discussion with an expert who disagrees with the study and is sceptical about its purpose."
(This "expert" who disagrees with a scientific study sounds like a complete retard, I can't wait to see Nutt thrash him)

So, finally we will have some new information about MDMA, thanks to David Nutt, who is a hero that was on the drug classification board in the UK, until they got rid of him because he wouldn't be the governments puppet and play ball.

Might be able to find a torrent for it afterwards, or if they put it on 4OD (4 On Demand) afterwards, which is like a web-version, it shouldn't be hard to rip and upload to youtube.
 
Gee, what a way to experience your first mdma high!
And what do you think of them having him repeat the experience with only 7 intervening days!!!
 
Looking forward to this ones, I liked the small series that the BBC did on Ecstasy, Cocaine and Weed. Was actually quite a good watch, I know a few friends that actually indulged in drug taking because of those programmes.
 
Very promising indeed that Nutt received funding for this, and that it'll be shown live on a major channel. Perversely, I'll enjoy the knee-jerk reactions as much as I enjoy the trial itself. I want everybody to be informed, but it is sometimes fun to hear from people who aren't.

Hoping to watch it once it comes out - those of us who aren't in the UK, if you spot a link, please share!
 
You should be able to watch it live on the C4 website.

There is also a BL user who is involved with this programme so maybe he will post a link after the show?
 
Just started, should be a good watch.

EDIT: Don't normally use twitter but I'm following the hashtag for the show and the amount of ignorance and lack of knowledge is remarkable.

David Nutt said something about them not thinking that mdma has any enduring changes on serotonin but they said they won't be talking about the negative effects until tommorow.
 
^^ doesn't work in my country :( going to search for it, will post back if I find anything!
