I Need Opinions On My Drug Use

For the past few months I have been recording all of the drugs I take, the days I take them, the dosages, and how much I spent on them. I just would like some opinions on whether or not I seem to have a problem by other drug users. And if I do have some problems, what are they? I'll also happily answer any questions about the log.

That's what got me kicked out of my parents house. U have a problem only if u end up out of money no place to live and no means other than breaking the law to get what you need to survive. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you are certainly at the beginning of what is gonna be a problem if you keep it up. Why did u start using? Is your life so painful that u just wanna check out for awhile? Or are u just doing an experiment either way keep going and it will get worse I wish I could turn time back but it is what it is so...

I know it looks pretty bad, but honestly I don't see any of it as that big of a deal. I'm currently a straight-a/b student in advanced placement classes (I'd have to thank the stimulants for that) who also works 20 hours a week as of a month ago. I guess I started using different drugs for different reasons. For example, the stimulant abuse arose from striving to do well at school, while the use of acid, mushrooms, and dxm were for spiritual exploration. I have a strong fascination with the mind and what it's capable of, and that has a lot to do with why I experiment with so many different substances. I'm not really even addicted to any certain drug, I'm just addicted to the new, exciting, and memorable experiences that they can produce.

Not trying to "piss on the parade", but the above sentence is nearly "word for word" how I felt 19 years ago when I was the "wizard" of pharmaecopia.
Now, 19 years later, I am pretty clean, but those years have "flowen" by and I have changed from a wizard to an addict.

Day for day if you think about it, that isn't really that bad at all.

Keep the amphetamine use at 3x a week or so tops. Stop with taking 50mg Adderall randomly and I approve! 450mg MDMA? Are you sure it was MDMA? Theres only a couple nights like that but dang... don't do things like that.

I'd like to keep the amphetamine use down because it's becoming such an expensive habit, but I can't get any sort of work done without it. I'm a Junior in high school right now and I've been buying it since the beginning of freshman year in order to stay ahead on school work. I'm fine without it though, I just don't keep up on all the things I should be if I don't use it. Also, what's so bad with random Adderall, exactly?

And with the MDMA, yes I'm sure. It was my first time, I wasn't quite sure what to take so I bumped almost a half gram.

I think the fact that you made this thread to ask for people's opinions on whether you have a problem shows that you have a problem, and that you recognize it yourself, but you don't want to come all the way out and admit it.

For a high-school student, you use far too many drugs, too strong (esp. amphetamines) and too often, I would say.
You "can't get any sort of work done without amphetamines"? That is really bad news. Because you will want to keep accomplishing things for the next few decades, or even until the end of your life, right? And you can't possible do all of it while on drugs, right? Or were you planning to do all of your work for the next 50 years while on amphetamines?
You are headed on a very, very dangerous path.

If I were you, I would stop the amphetamines entirely, and drink some coffee if you need a boost to get some work done.
I would only smoke cannabis once a week.
I would also take many more days off entirely - your brain is too young to use drugs 5 days a week or more.
In fact, it would be ideal to stop using all drugs entirely until your brain matures more - maybe at age 23 or 24.
But this is not realistic, and you have said that you don't plan to stop.

I think that the fact that you recorded all your drug use is admirable, as it allows you to get a clear picture of what your long-term behaviors are. It also suggests that you know that you may have a problem, as does your creating this thread. However, you failed to include the most important and relevant part, which is a listing of how many days you took any drugs / total number of days in diary, as well as the total number of times you used each particular drug / total number of days. These numbers would bring the big picture into focus, I would say.

Not an easy one to answer.
But the moment you need to take something in order to get enjoyment out of a situation (social or non-social), would be the time that you start to take that same route.
Damn, I'm sorry to say this, but I think that moment has come and gone already, but it isn't too late.
If I could go back in time I probably would go through the exact same thing, BUT that is because I never learnt of an alternative way.
Inspiration is what I wanted, and at that age I only got inspiration by using drugs inorder to over-come my social "anxiety".
Bottom line is if you know what inspires you, try and do that without the help from substances.
If you can achieve this, I promise you that you will have a massive advantage over someone who needs a chemical to get inspired.

You're right. That does show that I have a problem. I thought about that when I created the thread, actually. I am more than aware that for a Junior in high school, I'm using too many drugs and it has had some notable effects on my personality and body. I have mild hppd, am now slightly underweight (6"1, 150lbs), and seem to have a different perception on life and the world than I did before I started using drugs. I just don't feel that the negatives of my drug use outweigh the benefits at this point though. Before I started using stimulants in 7th and 8th grade, I failed all of my classes because I rarely went to school. I just never saw a point in listening to teachers spew useless bullshit and biased "facts". Once I started using stimulants I started actually going to school, getting work done, and excelling at all of the work that was put in front of me. I don't want to go back to the unmotivated burnout that I was before I found amphetamines. I feel like stopping the amphetamines would cause more problems for me than it would fix, because it causes no problems other than having to buy it.

As for cutting down on marijuana, why? I use it mainly to help myself sleep because I have really bad insomnia. It's never caused any problems other than a sub-par short term memory, which doesn't bother me. Obviously me halting all drug use is unrealistic at this point. I just can't find a justifiable reason to stop. I started my drug log in order to see patterns in my use, what my habit is actually costing me, and to get a better look at when some of these patterns started. For example, I realized how excessively I was using DXM so I cut way down on how often I did it because doing it was getting me into trouble. Also, I'm actually way ahead of you. I happen to have exactly what you're talking about already for the first half of the year.
