Need help with hydrocodone...

Ok, well first off I'm new to the forum so tell me if what i post is bad.. But on with what I was asking about, I use hydrocodone every once in a while 2-3x a week for the past 3 weeks. I have my hands on some Vicodin 10/325 and Norco 10/325, lately(the last two-three times ive done it) I feel barely anything. That's on two, which usually gets me high. So i upped my dose to 4, which ive done before except it had been around 4-5 months since. Still didn't feel anything. Then the last time i did it i popped 6, 4 in 1st period, 2 in 3rd, I got a slight body high as if I had taken one. <-- This was all on Vicodin. My question is will Norco provide a different high than Vicodin? I got ahold of 17 yesterday, I also have 14 Vicodin left.

I was going to stop for a couple weeks, would my tolerance go down then? I was thinking I had been developing one too, especially because I'm sure my body is used to the drug, I did it all junior year. But is Norco different than Vicodin?
 
norco is the same as vicodin as already stated in the thread, they are just brand names for hydrocodone/paracetamol mixes, i doubt two weeks will be enough to appreciably reduce tolerance
 
It is tolerance just take a break. If you are not shy to cannabis smoke some on it and it I'll potentate. Someone I know swears ciggys are needed at least for him to produce a nodd or bring out the opiate. I find blunts definitely synergises and create an overpowering effect. Still a break will do you good as you do not want to develope a tolerance to this medication. Vicodin and Norcos are just two names for hydrocodone formulations.
 
It's tolerance so you need to take a break if you wish to get high off of your usual dose. Be aware though that your tolerance will increase quickly if you go back to using often, so you need to use the drug sparingly if you wish to keep your tolerance down.

If you take a break you should be able to get high off of 2 pills again, but if you use a few times in a short time frame then you will be needing 4+ pills rather quickly in order to get high.
 
As others said its tolerance. You can potentiate by drinking white grape fruit juice about an hour before you dose . As well as take two tums (anti acids )45 min before dose. Another two with dose, and another two about twenty min after. Also taking on an empty stomach will have a greater effect. Also chewing them up will increase bioavailability. On a side note not to preach but it is a slippery slope so be careful. I started on vics then to oxycodone then to oc 80, in a year I was doing 500mg a day. Pills became too expensive and I went to banging tar in two years. Still dabble in the oxycodone here and there but been clean from tar for over three years. Have fun be safe .

Tums doesn't do anything, it's Tagamet (cimetidine) that potentiates opioids. It does the same thing as white grapefruit juice, so you really don't have to take both. You also don't have to take 2 of them 3x, you can just take a few before you dose.

Chewing the hydrocodone doesn't increase the bioavailability, it just causes a slightly faster onset.
 
Yep take a break from them cause your not to far from the taking them to get high to move to the taking them just to feel normal stage. And when ya get that deep its hard to climb back outta that hole (6 years of experience) I know.
 
I suppose tums don't actually potentiate in the meaning of a chemical change once in the bloodstream, but they cause the stomach to become more base and less acidic. This slows the digestion process (not absorption) causing the drug to stay in the small intestine for a longer period therefor allowing more absorption time.as for chewing them this ensures maximum surface area in small intestine which leads to better absorption, bio availability, availability of something to be absorbed by body. This is just my opinion from school, what I've read in scientific journals, and personal experience. I am not trying to argue.
