RIP to all the LFC fans, the police, press, and a lot of the public did you no favours = all you were was a bunch of lads who loved n followed there team.
Forgot to mention that. RIP. Sadly the police will not do the right thing, neither will Thatcher, neither will the FA, neither will the media (most of them) and neither will every scumbag that jumped on that sickening bandwagon. I heard some twerp blaming terraces AGAIN the other day! Terracing is not a sin, and I will stand tomorrow and at every match I ever attend whether seated or terraced.
As regards the massacre at Sheffield Wednesday, heads won't roll OF COURSE. But by Christ they should! Say what you like about the Germans, Italians, Spaniards, French and Dutch but their own Uniteds, Citys, Chelseas, Liverpools, and Aresenal etc. a lot of them have huge amounts of terracing and guess what? Whether you want to sit or stand or will still pay around a 1/3 of the JOKE prices of the Premier League. Best league my a**e.
Thank God I have nothing to do with it anymore! £60 for an away ticket at Arsenal, United, City or Chelsea to "sit" (if you can fit you legs in) to be shouted out for standing up, filmed by police for wearing certain clothing, not served beer. ABSOLUTE JOKE! The Taylor Report was an utter f**k up, and I believe it is entirely to blame for the creation of these 'bowl' type stadiums: St. Mary's, Stadium of Light, The Emirate's, The Walker's...the list is endless.
All it has done is create large amounts of money for sell out clubs via 'sponsored' stadiums; and the rise in ticket price is justified by better surroundings, better facilities, better seating, better segregation. Better my a**e!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For us real fans: the ones that make the players want to play for us, travel round europe and england on buses, sing through half time, actually suck goals in (yes it does happen!). Why we love football is for 3 fold:
1) We love the club (it's my only tattoo)
2) It's a belonging thing so it's about our team versus them. We are part of a group that day, a very special united group.
3) And this is different: Our fans v their fans. Not in a violent why but in a tribal, very basic emotion of competitiveness. Our mammalian brains crave this and in the confines of an arena it becomes super charged. Turn a stadium into a bloody basketball arena and as the passion goes the cringey music arrives and the us v them things goes. In a bowl, where do you turn? RIP atmosphere.
It's terrible that our club (Blackburn) are suffering internally at the moment and the horrible situations are causing in fighting, but I guarantee you that tomorrow we will sell out (or there about's) and bring life to a working man's hobby, a hard worker's holiday.
Blackburn Rovers travel to Ashton Gate tomorrow, one of the excellent grounds that still stands proudly, like our own Ewood Park, as one of the four sided (no filled in corners) dimension that creates such a superb, memorable and exhilarating experience for the tax payer.
RIP The Hillsborough 96

RIP JACK Walker

RIP proper football in this country. Just look our national squad...
