Acid tabs turned brown???

Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. So my friend got a couple hits of blotter that he left in a cool dark place wrapped in tin foil. I would say he had it there for over a month. These tabs were plain white. Had other friends that took them before and said they were good. So now looking upon the tabs they have turned totally brown. All of them turned brown plus two out of the four turned brown with small black dots. Does anyone know what this could be from? Any suggestions please?? Has it gone bad? Also he has taken one of them with no effects. What happen? He got them with all the hits on top of each other in tin foil.

I for one have no idea. Was any moisture in contact? That's all I can think of.

I can't think of any microgram range drugs that would do that... But I dunno.

I do know, the DOC tabs I have are slightly yellow, but they may have been like that six years ago.

From my knowledge there was no moisture contact. These were full on white and turned totally brown. He just doesn't understand, never heard of it either myself and searched, but didn't find much on tabs changing color over time. If moisture or water somehow got on them would that make the color change? Or Is it possible that it may have been tampered with?

I was thinking mold... Probably dead mold, if that. Still, my best answer is no idea. Hopefully someone else does.

...I know no moisture is known about, but our fingers release some, esp. when dealing with tiny things, sometimes. When I handle blotter, or any drug, afterwards I leave it exposed for about an hour/45 or so to make sure.

Liquid lsd will often turn a brown colour after many months in a bottle, even in ideal conditions. As for why, I can only guess it is oxidation and some degradation. The good news is it almost always works.

I would say your tabs will still do the trick. Perhaps a little weaker than freshly laid, and perhaps with a little more body load, but I wouldn't expect you to get nothing from them.

Same happens to my tabs. I also believe in addition to what Busty said all artwork, blotter included, fades around 6-7 months after finished. Blotter or paper, wet then dried, fades much quicker, usually around 1-2 months.

I was thinking this due to the spots...

I dont know if this is true, but I heard foil can oxidize the lsd.
20years ago I pulled out some foil and opened it up, to show my friends my latest score. A sheet of WOW.
one friend jumped all over me saying the foil could cause a reaction with the lsd.
If I remember right he said it could oxidize or something like that.
I dunno if it has any validity but I thought I would share.

Thanks for the input everyone, he will be taking the rest of them and will let you guys know how it went. As long as its not a sign of some chemical reaction from an adulterated tab or dangerous its fine. They have definitely lost potency. I thought if lsd stored correctly, has a very good shelf life? So is there anyway one can avoid this, by better storage I'm assuming?

Twentysix - Isn't it bad to have it laying out for extended periods of time because of delicate it is?
