LOL, nah chorizo can come cured and dried or it can be a fresh uncooked sausage that you cook yourself so it's a bit different, innit. ;)

Hot dog sausages it is, ha ha! I don't like cheap tinned hot dogs, bogging. That polish hot dog I ate last week was fucking amazing though, 100% pork, fried onion, pickled cabbage and gherkins.
 
You're right, I'm going to start drinking White Lightening from now on, £3 for 3 litres, no need to spend £1.99 on bottles of Westons.

going to serve them with cooked onions plus gherkins and gratted cheese.

my sister who lives in Spain is home for a few weeks and brought me home some nice presents = 25 bags of spices n herbs

Someone bought a jar of hot dogs here the other week, I looked at the ingredients and it said "made from mechanically recovered meat". I'm not even sure what that means but there was no mention of what type of meat or the meat content in them. :sus:

waste of time, you just need a big fuck off jar of mixed herbs, ask Spade. Herbs is herbs

I think as of Monday I'll go on the paleo 'diet' aka the caveman diet. I'm not looking to lose weight or anything but I like the concept, only eating natural products such as meat, vegetables, fruit, eggs, fish and natural oils and spices. No processed food, no grains, no dairy, no sugar. Tomorrow I'll cook up a load of stuff for the week.

eaten far too many carbs today, again. pasta thing my step dad made earlier was more-ish as fuck. ate cake n stuff before. although friday i kept to protein and salad only, so i guess it kinda balanced out. i go from over eating to fasting, aint got a clue why i food binge, its odd. could be when i used to starve myself through my weird depressive meph benders last year, stupid shit that was, lost years of weight training muscle cos i didnt even bother to keep the protein intake up, wasted awake feeling like shit, i had enough sence to at least keep ontop of protein intake. not until MXE kicked me out of it and i started to give a shit about myself again and hammer healthy food. my diet now is pretty healthy with binge eating slapped ontop. what a stupid habbit to have, fucking binge eating of all things. sometimes it seems as compulsive as binge drinking, or smoking when drunk

then again im only 10 n half stone and work in a physical job, so what am i moaning about

speaking of binge drinking, its kicked in n im fucked. soon be time to get spangled

I go through periods of eating really healthy, other times I eat nothing but junk but most of the time I'm somewhere in between. Some days good, some days bad.

I just love pizza, crisps, chocolate, junk food too much not to eat them.

Doesn't this rule out alcohol? I think I saw a study that compared how good diets were for you side by side and the paleo diet was near the bottom out of 20. The Low GI diet is very good for you. It is simple sugars, (and I say this as a person who eats a few times the amount of protein a normal person would), lots of protein, that are bad for us. Did you see the Horizon with Michael Mosely when he went into the affect protein has on our bodies?

I saw that, very interesting it was too, I eat far too much protein. I read about the paleo diet once, just out of curiosity, and it looks ridiculous, I can't see any way that's a good way to live...

Yeah you're not supposed to drink on it but I fancy having a break from the booze anyway, I've not been enjoying it recently so can give it a break even if just for a week before I crack and get on it again. I'll finish off the last quarter bottle of wine I have later today and hopefully not buy any more for a week or longer.

I know a lot of people who have gone paleo and swear by it, seems to help them a lot for everything from loosing weight to building muscle to gaining more energy. I don't see what can be bad about having a natural diet of meat, fish, fruit, veg and oils and cutting out synthesised and processed foods. Paleo is basically all the foods you would want to eat if you were eating healthy anyway.

It'll probably be later in the week I make my chicken and chorizo dish, having a beef and onion pie that needs eating to get it out the way before healthy eating starts tomorrow. It's a tiny little pie and it's got 75% of your daily saturated fat in it! 8o

Tomorrow I've got spare ribs which I'll have with some veg, some good sausages defrosting for the next night night which will probably go into a casserole and then I'll defrost some mince on Tuesday and knock up some chile con carne with for Wednesday. There will be more than one portion from all those dinners so I'll probably not need much more dinner wise for the rest of the week. Got big pot of veggie soup cooking away right now that will do for lunches.

I am a big fan of Michael Mosely. I like the way he goes about his inquries and actually seems to be enjoying himself. I also like that he let david nutt inject him with thc and psilocibin for our amusement. It sort of goes some way into explaining why I like him more than most TV science presenters; Rather than standing there watching somebody getting fucked up by Nutt, he had to get fucked up himself or it wasn't proper scientific inquiry. He always does shit properly - like following the fasts in the program to show us the benefits.

In this chicken and chorizo dish do you pack it out with loads of paprika and stuff? What's the recipe? I made one the other day with a tomato onion and garlic base, then put normal paprika, hot paprika, and smoked paprika, into it. Then I threw a nice big bunch of corriander over the top. It worked really well.

ahhh, okay, I knew it was cutting out all the processed and synthetic shite, but I thought it was massively ramping up the protein too in proportion to the veggies, yeah, ridiculous might have been an overstatement :)
