HELP! I left some 25i-nbome powder out and I think my cat got into it

so last night i had left a line of 25i nbome powder on my desk that was at the concentration on 500ug per 100mg. I had put a small box over it, and when I woke up this morning the box was knocked off my desk and the powder was scattered. Now my cat is missing. I suspect she got into the powder and is tripping right now and lost in the neighborhood. She goes outside a lot, and she always comes in when I call for her. This time, she is nowhere to be found.

So i guess my question is: Do you think its possible that she sniffed up enough powder to make her trip or even worse OD? I am really worried. Any thoughts will help
 
No, it was definitely my cat, my only question is whether or not its possible for her to accidentally trip by just sniffing the powder to check out what it was.
Do you think its possible for a cat to accidentally trip off of a powder at that concentration? My cat usually comes up and sniffs stuff that she's interested in, but she doesn't full on snort it if u know what i mean.

i forgot to mention that snorting this powder basically feels like snorting air. you literally can't feel a thing. After snorting it i always think there was some powder left in the straw or something because it's hard to believe that I had just insufflated something

All I bet most can tell you or recommend is hope for the best, but also prepare for the worse. Only time will tell at this point. I hope your cat is ok. Just remember it is an accident and no ones fault... Not the cat and not your own. Stay strong and keep updated here if you want. I am sure you can find support here for this difficult time of uncertainty.

Have you gone outside to look for the cat or are you waiting at home for it to come home? Do you know any neighbors you can ask to keep an eye out for your cat? Maybe prepare some missing cat posters to put up tomorrow for worst case scenario.

The important thing to do now is to stay calm for your cat and do whatever you can for it right now. Definitely take your cat to the vet if you find it. There is a chance you can get an asshole doctor who treats you like shit, but I bet you won't as you seem to care for your cat.

Again I hope for the best try to stay positive while you figure out what has happened.

Yea, I've been riding my bike around the neighborhood looking for her. I also ran into a cop and told him to call me if he sees her. I plan on calling animal control when they open tomorrow and see if they found her.
I'm hoping she is just out trippin and scared and she can find her way home when she comes down.
 
It's likely your cat will be shaken at best, I wouldn't expect very much to happen as 25x are very selective for 5-ht2a and are very poorly absorbed orally. Cats won't really pay much heed to random white powders normally.

500ug per 100mg is not very concentrated at all and would require your cat to have snorted or licked up quite a bit to get effects.

By the way, great thinking leaving a super potent hallucinogen out in the open where anyone can get into it.
 
Just glad you concentrated it to 500ug/100mg as I was gunna slap you a few times - it's lost so if it's shaken bad claim you know nothing, all that can help is benzos innit?

Sadly what is done IS done. Maybe try screw top ones or minilocker things.

saying that a guy who used to deal has cats and I am forever getting calls thinking I stole it and I usually say "oh yeah sorry I put it up high/in draw mate, cat was on it" the cat wasn't but I just wish crack or heroin wasn't left about. Imagine that missing crack blaming your mate next minute you're cat is biting at it and fiendin'.

and please keep it all locked in future or AT least in a drawer away from the cat. I made a thread warning people on superpotent and potent chemical stoarge as HR but too twisted to make sense.

Seiko... You gave him good reassurance, but criticizing him for a stupid mistake. He probably feels bad enough now feeling he might have put his cat in a lot of danger. Seriously it is called empathy it is very useful.

Who in his family is going to "get into it?" Come on, I doubt a sibling or parent is just going to see a line of random powder and go "OH FUCK YEAH IM'A SNORT ALL THIS!!" let alone like 400mg for a dangerous dose. The most he's going to do in this situation is get himself into trouble with parents, and quite frankly that would be his just desserts, I don't really care how his parents react to him leaving 25i-nbome out. It doesn't affect any of us.

I don't live with my parents. All I care about is if my cat will be ok or not. I hope you guys are right that a cat wouldn't ingest enough to make it trip. But, i had a lot sitting out.
 
WOW y'all are really prejudice... "He did something considered stupid, he must be an irresponsible child... Forget he has it diluted out in powder that isn't evidence he has some education. It's not possible that it was an accidental mistake... He must do this all the time... I bet its like the 5th time it's happened..."

Seriously y'all are rude as hell. Just keep hoping! Maybe pull out cat treats or put some wet can food in the bowl. Some fishy meaty smell to attract your cat back.
 
I found her! I biked around the neighborhood and she was definitely lost. I'm glad I went out looking for her. I think shes trippin lol. She seems ok though.
 
it's not cool to dose your cat. It's incredibly dangerous and cruel. You sir are a piece of shit and bayhead you are a moron, plain and simple. There is no excuse for this kind of thing and if you are this irresponsible there is no way you should be dealing with potent psychedelics. To me, it's like saying oops i left a line of powder out and a little kid accidentally ingested this. This cannot happen.

Okay, TAKE YOUR CAT TO A VET IF YOU THINK THEY HAVE INGESTED A POTENT PSYCHEDELIC. There is no excuse for not doing that. If you're irresponsible enough to leave an ultra-potent psychedelic agent out in the open around the animal you are responsible for, then you need to bite the bullet and get that animal to a veterinarian if they accidentally ingest some.
 
Let's not go off on tangents about how irresponsible this person may be in an attempt to ameliorate our self-images. He is distressed, and has acknowledged he made a huge mistake, one which could have ended tragically with the loss of loved one. Calling him irresponsible and a piece of shit does not help him in understanding what care he should offer for the cat and why it needs that care.
Take your cat into the veterinarian. I would refrain from mentioning it had ingested a psychoactive substance. But mention that it got into something it should not have, and you just want to reassure yourself that it is healthy and all of its internals are running as they should. I am sure the usual urine and stool analysis will be in store to verify it hasn't undergone any damage to the liver or kidneys, as well as a physical to observe it's body temperature, heart rate and other such good things are all in check.
Glad you found it and that it seems to be in good shape! Just take the cat in and keep your compounds locked up. Though I'm sure you're already prepared to do both.
 
I understand that the op probably feels bad and was pretty worried about his pet but I agree with sekio, its pretty irresponsible to leave potent drugs just lying around. I myself am a pet owner and am always really careful about this exact kind of thing.

Not trying to get down on you or criticize you but just be more careful in the future. Im glad you found your cat and I hope he's okay.
 
this is extremely irresponsible. Imagine if someones kid got into it. Leaving any drug out is a fucked up thing to do, but with a chemical as potent and unknown as 25i-NBOME your lucky that's all that happened. I feel bad for your cat, and I really hope you learn to be more careful. You should treat every drug with the same respect you would a loaded handgun, I can' imagine what your cat is going through, why should the cat suffer because of your drug use?

go to the vet, and be honest with them. there is nothing I despise more than people who put themselves (or in this case others) in the care of a doctor, but refuse to come clean about what was injested. I really hope you tell them the truth, and I hope your cat survives with minimal psychological/physical damage.

bottom line is you fucked up. I can see many people making the same mistake and having nothing come of it, but as you stated your cat is very curious and sniffs random things to investigate them. I'm not going to call you an asshole because you made a mistake, but maybe hearing that from some people is a good thing. If everyone came in and said "oh you know, shit happens. how would you know he'd get into it? it was dilluted so it's not like you left a dangerous drug out", then it would be a lot easier for you to justify it in your head that you did wrong and are not to blame. I just hope you learn from this experience, I can't imagine the terror a cat would feel lost outside tripping. Cat's are paranoid as is, they have an extremely strong survival drive. as you can imagine this doesn't combine well with psychadelics.

Obviously leaving drugs in the open is irresponsible; but he took certain precautions. It was an accident.
It's unbelievable to me how the internets care more about cats than people.
 
I'm not sure what reason you'd have to leave a line of psychedelic powder lying about, unless you borrowed a scale for it the previous evening and planned on dosing it the next day, but now you know better. Don't be too offended by people's strong reactions against this, recall Proverbs 12:1, "Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid."

Glad you found your cat, if worried about its health, then consult a vet as others have recommended. There's nothing more we can help you with here, so this thread will be closed.
