Couldn't imagine anything worse than watching lower league football

I went to see Accrington Stanley vs Burton Albion in the Blue Square North I think it was a few years back, even though it wasn't even conference standard football it was still a good match. It wasn't anywhere near premier league standard but it was still a good game. You're just a football snob if you say things like that.

The Championship is a cracking league every bit as entertaining as the Premiership but without the stupid ticket prices & also the fans of of lower league teams tend to be generally more knowledgeable about football as a whole than your fair weather Chelsea/ Man you/ etc fans

Luka's finally free from his shackles and gone for £33 million. Great player and sad to see him go but his heart wasnt entirely in it the last 18 months so, glad it's all over. Part of the deal means Spurs are now in "partnership" with Madrid. Which obviously means Ronaldo is coming to Spurs on loan in January and they're getting Jenas! Would like to see this Dembele rumour to come true come and a few more but only 4 days to end of window 8)

EDIT: £15 million bid accepted for Dembele. Very happy with that if it happens. The Belgians will have a brilliant squad in 4 years time.

Gutted Luka left, but I couldn't help but smile when he came onto the pitch. He is at a level that he truly belongs and it was great to see how well he is settling so well, lovely touch letting him lift the trophy after casillas as well. I feel like a parent thats child has just left home haha

Big reports in Portugal that we're signing Moutinho, strange considering we bought Dembele... I guess it means rafa will be leaving? :( Exciting times ahead though, Lloris looking likely also!

I dunno about that, I'm paying £36 to watch Rovers away at Leeds. Add on top of that beer & travel costs and its an expensive day! Other than our league cup exit I'm pretty pleased with how we've started.

I'll be at Ashton Gate for the visit of Blackburn in a couple of weeks got my ticket today .

£26 . BTW . I get it at half price though £13 wwhich is fantastic . When i spoke to the ticket office today they seemed to think it is going to be a sell out or close.
The tickets go up to £30 tomorrow .

He looked so out of place chanting we are the champions! Not on the pitch mind, he looked like he'd been there years.

Shocked they have paid £8 million for Jordan Rhodes. A lot of money for a player only proven in League 1. Surprised he wanted to go to Rovers too.

Brimz man, you haven't mentioned last Saturday. ;) =D

Why what did something happen ?

I do recall watching 90 minutes of dire football served up by BFS, he sure plays the WEst Ham way 8)
It's all good now cos we have Andy Carroll to lump long balls up to . Traditional Academy style . I spent most of the last footy thread slagging Carroll so it was inevitable he would come to The Irons . The only compensation is that we haven't signed Joe Cole .

being on hols last 2 weeks so not seen much footy yet, slow start by UTD. looking forward to watching plenty of Swansea this season.

I saw that Van Persie had a good day today doing exactly what Man U bought him for.
Arsenal must be pissed off as they really do still need a quality striker.
