Good combos, potentiators for benzos? Besides grapefruit and antacid?

My prescription is running out and I don't have the $ to afford another.

Sucks. So, how can I get this Clonazepam to last as long as possible
without ghastly side effects? Mainly used for anxiety relief and sleeping aid.

I've already read about grapefruit (Naringin?) and Tangant?
Some antacid thing. What about Kava Kava? :\

Or anything I haven't even imagined yet.
Any suggestions? Always learn a lot here.

^This. If you're trying to make your script last longer and not go into WDs...the best thing for this is Tagamet (cimetidine). It increases clonazepam's duration anywhere from 50 to 100% so your script will last longer (in my experience anyway).

I wonder if Kava Kava or a nip of champagne would work as well?
Alcohol usually gives me energy? Also, Tagamet is $20. Kinda steep.
I dunno, I'm a cheap, so...
 
How many mgs of Tagamet do you use and how long before you take the benzo? Also, can you use another antacid besides tagamet?
 
I would think alcohol would result in making you need the k-pins more, once it wore off. Plus alcohol increases your livers function, henceforth it will metabolize the klonopin in your system faster. The cimetidine seems like the best option. Never tried it but it slows down the livers ability to metabolize benzos, so if your desperate seems the best option. Try to ween yourself down as best as you can. You don't want to end up cold turkeying it from a high dose and having a seizure.

Oh and the Kava and valerian root will help, but don't put too much faith in them.

Also, how bad off financially are you that you can't afford another klonopin script? Not to sound like a prick, but its not awfully expensive and you really shouldn't stop taking it without a weening schedule that lasts a good while. I mean you clearly have access to a computer, so I'm guessing your not homeless.

Just an FYI, pharmacies can do fractions of a script for you to hold you over until you get the money for a full one.

I do one 200mg 45min to an hour before. Not sure but I don't think so.

Thanks for the info. How much of a potentiator is it for Alprazolam? eg. If I take 6mg Alprazolam how much less Alprazolam would i need if I took the Tagamet?
Tried Grapefruit juice & it did potentiate it but it was alot more sedated, sleepy. Is this the case with Tagamet?
 
To me .5 feel almost like a full 1mg.

On here and other sites I've read up to 86% stronger as well as increasing the half life. I'm not sure on the sedation part because I always smoke weed with my benzos so my sedation varies depending on what and how much I've smoked.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but I find either gabapentin (Neurontin) or pregabalin (Lyrica) are good potentiators and they can also cause a pleasant increase in euphoria in general (or induce euphoria if you're not "feeling" anything).

Source - been on Xanax for close to 7 years; been on Neurontin and Lyrica (alternating) for going on a year now.

Yep, 200mg (one pill) tagamet and .5 xanax feels to me like almost 1 mg. I also have a pretty low tolerance so if you're needing 6 mg you may want start out on the lower side.
 
Anyone tried Tagamet with Xanax only?
Is it a more sedated feeling like with grapefruit juice or does it just extend the half life & make it stronger without added sedation because IMO all grapefruit juice does is extend the half life a little bit & doesn't make it stronger, all it does is add alot of sedation.

Grapefruit juice, aka naringin (sold at amazon)...only works on a few things.
Sadly, just read it (somehow) decreases the half life of alcohol. or something...

But benzos, Valerian and Alcohol all work on the same part of the brain.
(Like theirs only one involved?)

Just, y'know, for your 'information'....'grapefruit juice' does't potentate everything...
 
ro4eva i agree been threw the same situation as ones self and yes they definetly increase the effects of benzos and bring on a nice euphoric state well suggested my friend!!! :-)
 
will an inducer of the enzyme that metabolizes Klonopin make it more potent because the word induce sounds like it would make something better. I read somewhere that if you take 2 different drugs that are metabolized by the same enzyme then the effect would be stronger. Is this right ?

Does DXM Dextromethorphan potentiate Klonopin?
