been smoking everyday for more than 2 years, started my first break two days ago, i really thought i was gonna have to smoke to go to bed but i actually ended up fallin asleep quite comfortably. To all of you who believe you would toss and turn all night, just do something to get your body fatigued like bike rides skateboard or the gym, it honestly all works no matter what you do.

Every long term daily smoker needs that break to regain that real high and lower that tolerance, and maybe just get your mind cleared for a bit.

this may seem pointless to alot of you and its cool if it does but i was honestly so surprised that i got to sleep as easily as i did, so i felt i could provide some inspiration to those who want a break but are worried they're gonna need it for bed. I know you guys dont know me, but if i can do it, i really believe anyone can, because i really though i couldn't for a year, im so proud of myself its unbelievable, two weeks here i come.

YOU GUYS GOT THIS

You sound like someone coming off opiates so worried about sleep.... anyways I have never noticed any side effects or withdrawals after smoking daily for awhile and then just quitting cold turkey out of the blue..... Marijuana is nice like that I guess...

buddy its not withdrawals, i didnt say that up there did i ? naaaaaaaaah anyone will tell you its difficult to fall asleep if your used to going to sleep high every night. Easy on the dots too, that shits a bit excessive

i would smoke all day and lead a pretty active lifestyle. in that sense the weed is more of a compliment, and not really addiction. therefore, there is no problem living, breathing, sleeping without it. when it rearranges your thoughts and behavior, thats when its an issue.

trees you didnt understand what i was saying at all, i never said weed was addictive either. but if your high when you go to bed everynight for 2 years, your body tends to adjust to it, like anything

I was basically high for two years and don't recall having trouble sleeping after I quit. Yet I have heard that this is an issue for some. To each their own.

I agree I cant sleep when I am high, it usually is the opposite with me it gives me the energy to clean the house or take care of mom, but no I dont need it to sleep I have sleeping meds for that. Long term smoker here.

many lols have been had at this thread, you guys can carry on thinking bud has no withdrawal symptoms (mild at best, but symptoms nonetheless) and that it's the perfect drug nobody ever gets addicted to. i'm just gonna pass on by
brotip - if your smoking more than half the week chances are your addicted - but you don't realised cause "it's just weed maaaan"

i also did not mean to imply that you said it. what i was trying to point out is that being able to fall asleep without weed is nearly as simple as making a commitment to.. fall asleep. ive never had trouble sleeping without it, even going two or three weeks without smoking.

also this is very very true.

I smoke weed daily, and yeah it is hard to fall asleep when I have no weed, I'll admit it.

The first 2 days are usually the hardest for me, but then again I usually don't go that long without smoking some kind of bud. I've gotten used to smoking a bowl right before I go to bed. I like laying down on just let all my thoughts pass in and out while I fall asleep, and it feels great.

i smoked everyday for 3 years and i stopped for a week because i moved to a new state and the first few days were alright but from day 3 on, the craving and agitation was annoyinggg. to a point where it bothered me when i tried going to sleep.
but i found a connect and im tokin right now some im goood

Yeah I was away for 2 weeks at the beginning of the year, I had to give weed a break for 2 weeks, let me say it wasn't fun for the 1st week sleep wasn't happening if I was sleeping it was little no non and strange dreams. agitated through the days. 2nd week wasn't as bad how ever just dreams that were abnormal.

finally someone on my level. I actually fell asleep fine after the first two days as well. i could prolly have fallen asleep fine months ago too, but if im not asleep in30 minutes, i would resort to blazin, ill be honest tho it only came to that once or twice in the past year, i never really gave it a chance until now, i just love layin in bed stoned as hell and passin out in 2 minutes

its definitely addictive, but only mentally, i blaze cuz i always want to not because i need to due to some physical pain, to me thats what a withdrawal is, i dont really care what anybody says. you can get addicted to workin out, mcdonalds, energy drinks or anything mentally. I smoke daily cause i love to be high, not cause i need to cure my cold sweats or nervous thoughts.

I usually end up just staying up later, but I think that's normal. Usually after a big session and a few beers I'm ready to fall asleep early. Bud alone won't make me tired during the day, but if I smoke around 11:00 pm + I'm ready to sleep soon after that usually unless I'm out doing something.

I never have had bad withdrawl symptoms from weed though. I do alright without it, I've recently gone 12 days without it when I was on vacation and I'm glad I did because I've been able to get much higher now. I was tired from drinking on the beach all day in the sun so sleeping wasn't an issue. Was able to have fun without weed, lots of cool stuff to do on the beach.

I can sleep without weed because I take Trazodone every night. Without that I can't sleep whether I smoke weed or not.
