Cops Strip Search Mom, "Forcibly" Pull Tampon Out of Her for Rolling Through a Stop

Getting pulled over for rolling through a stop sign is whack. But getting pulled over, having a gun pointed in your face, and then being strip searched on the side of the road in front of your two children for rolling through a stop sign is, well, really whack and probably an excessive use of force.

At least. that's what a new lawsuit in the Sunshine State is claiming.

Last July, Leila Tarantino claims that she was pulled over by an officer with the Citrus County Sheriff's Department. In the suit, Tarantino says she came to a full stop and should have never been pulled over in the first place.

A passing cop pulled a u-turn, flashed the lights, and rolled up behind her. Tarantino claims that the cop immediately drew his weapon, pulled her from the car, and refused to explain why he pulled her over. Tarantino's two young children watched all of this unfold from inside her car.

The cop then placed Tarantino in the back of the squad car, where she allegedly sat for two hours. When backup arrived, Tarantino was strip searched on the side of the road, where passing motorists could see everything.

Then, in a gruesome twist, a female officer "forcibly removed" a tampon from Tarantino. Presumably, the cops were looking for drugs, but the lawsuit notes that a drug-sniffing dog was never called in, and cops never found any contraband or anything illegal.

The lawsuit does not name the cops involved but notes that there were five male officers and one female officer.

According to the court filing, cops released Tarantino with a citation.

Omg, I would file a lawsuit as well. I bet the kids were terrified and they will never forget and the mom is going to be traumatized as well. This makes me sick.

One time I got pulled over and the cop pulled my pants down because he insisted I had crack on me. I said yea stupid i have crack in my ass. So he proceeded to stick his fingers in my ass and stick his nose in there only to find nothing. I wasn't arrested for drugs but was arrested for ommitting a foul odor out in his face when I farted. I was fined 50 bucks and had to do 30 hrs at a sewer treatment facility because the cop insisted my gas smelled like sewage. Lawsuit is pending I'll keep u guys posted!

Now doesn't that story sound stupid? Just like the main one in this thread. What cops in there right mind are gona strip a woman down naked and pull a tampon out in public and then on top of it issue her a citation so there's now record of the stop where they sodomized her. I call bullshit. Stop reading the national enquirer!

What does this have to do with drugs?

The media is quick to sensationalize this but what they don't tell you is the woman's conduct prior to the search.

what kind of conduct might warrant yanking out her tampon and pointing a gun in her face?
Voxide, certainly you're trolling.
either that, or voxide's belief system allows him to turn off his empathy for fellow human beings in a perversely masochistic manner (judging from his posts over all).

^the cops were looking for drugs

Voxide, certainly you're trolling.
Doesn't mean it's really "drug news"

And no, I'm not trolling. It may come as a shock to you, but througout the course of your life you will meet many people with opinions that differ from your own. You picked the most left-biased website possible. For fuck's sake, the journalist used the word "whack". If that's not a credible source of news I don't know what is.

What this blatantly biased article says isn't necessarily what's true. Until I see proof, I'm siding with the officers on this one.

I still have enough faith in humanity to believe that nobody would just do something like this without a just cause. I'll put down a fair bit of money that this lady was either mouthing off threats or being completely belligerent altogether. I know many LEO's and their jobs are certainly more stressful and demanding than anybody on here would like to admit. Regardless of what happens, I will give the police officer the benefit of the doubt in every situation, until I see clear proof otherwise.

Hahah are you serious?

I know many LEO's and their jobs are certainly more stressful and demanding than anybody on here would like to admit.
- Yeah so are alot of other jobs, frontline medics who see some gruesome shit, firemen and woman and loads more jobs i'm sure, doesn't mean they can use excessive force to get an outcome they wont, ie trying to find DRUGS in this case, which is IN THE MEDIA.

What does this have to do with drugs?
You can't see that it has something to do with drugs? Or looking / searching for? To get a bust? And is in the media..

Yeah everyone can have an opinion, and people can feel free to disagree, just like i do with your opinions on here.
but througout the course of your life you will meet many people with opinions that differ from your own
Yep, very true and you will meet people who abuse power as well, stressed out or not.

I don't know how factual the article is, i'm not about to go looking into it either, but cops abuse everyday people and use excessive force everyday in some place in the world, there are so many articles on it its not funny, just because they are leo's doesn't give them the right to use excessive force if it's not needed, and removing a tampon on a strip search for drugs when there was no other evidence of drugs seems way over the top to me, if it's true of course. Just my opinion of course, as you said you will meet people whose opinions differ from your own, i'm one of them.

I will give the police officer the benefit of the doubt in every situation
I sure as hell wouldn't. Your opinion tho, as they say opinions are like assholes.

An article from last month here showing how some cops abuse power, even though they may be stressed, they get paid and trained to not lose their cool and abusing people and power is not what they are paid for in my books anyway, you probably have your own opinions of course.

Some cops lie, cheat, steal, murder, just like everyone else.

Oh yeah, keep the faith. YOU believe it's a-okay for nurses and prison wardens to watch for days on end as a woman repeatedly vomits and convulses and eventually dies due to her opiate withdrawal. ALL TIME HIGH HUNNY xpxpxp

There are many, many corrupt police officers in the world, believe it or not 8o8(

but whatevz lets give them the benefit of the doubt. Even if she did act horribly at the scene, no-one deserves have a gun pointed in their face, infront of their children, to be strip searched in broad daylight infront of the fucking children and passing motorists. And if you think that what I'm saying is wrong, I think you're in-humane :)
